Iran, July 19, 2019 – On Wednesday, July 17, Iran witnessed various gatherings protesting the Iranian regime’s mismanagement and
destructive policies. Some of these protests are as follows.
In the central Iranian city of Arak, a group of merchants, small business owners and residents of the Hesar street in Arak, protested the implementing of the so-called “sidewalk plan”.
A group of disabled people and handicap activists gathered in front of the Health Ministry and protested to the regime’s inefficiency in taking care of handicaps.
On Wednesday, a group of family members and friends of the detained workers and activists of the Haft Tapeh sugar mill gathered in front of the notorious Evin prison in solidarity with their imprisoned loved ones. The Haft Tapeh workers held protests and strikes for several weeks last year due to poor working conditions and delayed paychecks. However, the Iranian regime did not respond to their demands, and instead cracked down on the protesters and imprisoned the organizers.
A group of municipality workers of the northern city of Lushan gathered in front of the municipality, protesting a five-month delay in receiving their wages.
