Iran, July 19, 2019 – On Thursday, several Iranian cities witnessed protests by the locals.
In Shahrud, Semnan province, a group of people gathered in front of the governor's office and protested to the continued operation of a bauxite mine. The protesters then marched toward the residence of the province's governor.
In Malard, Tehran province, the people of the Bidganeh village protested to the shortage of water. Water shortages have been the source of protests in many Iranian cities in the past year. The residents of different regions of Iran are outraged at destructive government policies that have disrupted the ecosystem and water supplies, negatively affecting agriculture and the people's lives.
In Assaluyeh, the workers of the special Pars District protested to the plan of forced residence in the central buildings of the organization, which will place them in the middle of an oil and gas industrial region.
