Despite all the lies of Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani on a daily basis, Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi, head of the regime’s “Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” voiced grave concerns. “Most certainly the numbers being announced are different from what is taking place in reality… Many people are asymptomatic and are not tested. Around 40 percent of the negative tests are void and unreliable,” he said on Thursday, April 30, according to the state-run Mehr news agency, affiliated to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson Kianoush Jahanpour said on Friday, “We are witnessing an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in five to seven tourist-prone provinces. This includes the provinces of Tehran, Fars, Razavi Khorasan, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan and a few others where the numbers of COVID-19 cases have been on the rise in the past few days.”

In South Khorasan Province, located in eastern Iran, deputy dean of Birjand Medical Sciences University said three days ago that their coronavirus numbers are on the rise, according to the Mehr news agency on Tuesday.

In Mazanaran Province, northern Iran, based on the numbers provided by the local Medical Sciences University, the number of COVID-19 cases “have been on the rise and the number of newly hospitalized patients are more than those released,” according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency on Friday.

The state-run IRNA acknowledged on Thursday that in Babol, after 70 days, COVID-19 is on the rise again. In the last two days, 47 new COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized in the hospitals of Babol Medical Sciences University. IRNA acknowledged that 109 coronavirus patients are in Babol’s hospitals and under special care.

Dean of Abadan Medical Sciences University in southwest Iran said there has been a “significant increase in the number of coronavirus cases in southwest areas of Khuzestan Province,” according to the Fars news agency, affiliated to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

In this province the regime’s state TV reported on Thursday night: “The number of positive COVID-19 cases have increased significantly in Khuzestan Province and skyrocketed in Ahvaz… The cities of Dezful and Shushtar are also reporting very high numbers… We are surpassing everyone else now… There is a grave threat around the corner. The numbers are very high, and Razi Hospital no longer has any capacity.”

Head of the East Ahvaz Hygiene Center specifically said, “Currently there is no longer any area of Ahvaz that can be described as a ‘white’ area. All areas of Ahvaz are engulfed.”

Fars had reported on Thursday: “Mahdieh Tavakkoli, deputy of treatment in Dezful Medical Sciences University announced to correspondents: In the last 24 hours, the number of coronavirus cases in the area of Dezful Medical Sciences University had increased by 28.” She added that the number of COVID-19 patients in the jurisdiction of Dezful Medical Sciences University has reached 268 persons.

According to reports obtained from inside Iran, Andimeshk’s Sarvandi Stadium has been transformed into a makeshift hospital for coronavirus patients. The regime has encircled the area and set up walls and fences to keep a lid on the situation and prevent information about what’s going on inside the facility secret. The reports also state that Andimeshk is one of the worst-hit cities in Khuzestan.

The nine provinces of Tehran, Fars, Razavi Khorasan, South Khorasan, Bushsher, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Mazandaran and Khuzestan, that according to regime officials are witnessing an increase in COVID-19 cases, are home to 43 million (52 percent) of Iran’s population.
