Iran’s Baluch continue the country’s anti-regime protests

Latest update – 9:15 pm CET

The Baluchis in different cities of Sistan & Baluchestan Province in southeast Iran took to the streets in a continuation of the country’s anti-regime protests against the mullahs’ rule. Friday marks the 106th day of the nationwide uprising, following a day of ceremonies held in different cities across the country for protesters killed by the mullahs’ security forces. These ceremonies have all been scenes of anti-regime rallies with slogans specifically targeting regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Protests in Iran have to this day expanded to at least 282 cities. Over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 are arrested by the regime’s forces, according to sources of Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The names of 601 killed protesters have been published by the PMOI/MEK.

On Friday, protesters in the cities of Zahedan and Khash of Sistan & Baluchestan Province were seen in the streets marching and protesting the mullahs’ regime and chanting slogans specifically targeting regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), and the paramilitary Basij.

Brave women protesting in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan & Baluchestan Province, were seen chanting: “We don’t want a child-killing regime!”

Protesters in the city of Khash were also seen chanting anti-regime slogans on Friday, while authorities dispatched many security units to the streets and were using drones to monitor the local rallies.

In the city of Piranshahr, northwest Iran, locals held a ceremony for Karevan Ghader-Shokri, killed 40 days ago by the mullahs’ regime. These ceremonies, held across the country, have quickly evolved into anti-regime rallies.

In Khorramabad, western Iran, a similar ceremony was held in memory of Hossein Zarrinjuie, another protester killed by the mullahs’ regime. A large number of locals took part in this event, further escalating concerns among regime officials about such gatherings turning into major anti-regime protests.

On Friday night protesters in the city of Rudsar in Gilan Province, northern Iran, took to the streets in anti-regime protests and established roadblocks to take control of their streets on the 106th night of the nationwide uprising.

On Thursday locals gathered in Tehran’s famous Beheshte Zahra Cemetery to mark the 40th day of the killing of Hamidreza Rouhi by the regime’s security forces. The ceremony turned into an anti-regime rally as participants began chanting slogans against the mullahs, including “Death to Khamenei!” and “Death to the dictator!”

Security forces were seen surrounding the area. People participating in the ceremony began establishing roadblocks against the regime’s security forces, who responded by attacking the mourners and firing tear gas.

Similar ceremonies were held in city of Isfahan for another protester by the name of Ali Abbasi. The participants were seen chanting: “Death to Khamenei! Damned be Khomeini!”

In the city of Dehgolan in western Iran locals gathered to mark the 40th day of the killing of Mohsen Niazi and began chanting “Death to Khamenei!”

In Ahvaz, southwest Iran, locals gathered for a ceremony in memory of Atefeh Naami, murdered by the regime’s security forces, and began chanting: “I will kill those who killed my sister!”

In the city of Izeh locals held a similar ceremony marking the 40th day of the killing of Ali Shariati by the regime’s security forces.

In a village near the city of Marvadasht in Fars Province, south-central Iran, people gathered to hold a ceremony marking the 40th day of Arman Emadi’s murder by the regime’s security forces. They began chanting anti-regime slogans and specifically condemning the Revolutionary Guards and the paramilitary Basij.

In Qazvin, northwest Iran, locals gathered to mark the third day of Mehrdad Malak’s murder by the regime’s oppressive security forces. Authorities had dispatched two busses of security units to prevent protests.

Locals in the city of Izeh gathered for a ceremony in memory of Hamed Salahshour, murdered by the regime’s security forces. They began chanting: “We pledge on our compatriots’ blood that we stand to the end!” Another ceremony was held in this city for Milad Saidian-Ju, also killed by the regime’s security forces.

On Thursday night protesters in Gilan Province established roadblocks on the Ramdasht-Rudsar road to take control of their streets and prevent authorities from dispatching their forces to quell their protests.

Iranian opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi hailed the Baluch for their courageous and continuous stand against the mullahs’ regime while voicing the demand of the Iranian people to bring a complete end to Khamenei’s rule in its entirety.

Our Baluch compatriots in Zahedan and Khash took to the streets with chants of death to Khamenei, IRGC, and Bassij, setting fire to Khamenei’s images. They thus showed the Iranian people’s resolve, from every religion and ethnicity, to overthrow the regime. Iran revolution shall win,” the NCRI President-elect highlighted.

The protests in Iran began following the death of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a 22-year-old woman from the city of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, who traveled to Tehran with her family, was arrested on Tuesday, September 13, at the entry of Haqqani Highway by the regime’s so-called “Guidance Patrol” and transferred to the “Moral Security” agency.

She was brutally beaten by the morality police and died of her wounds in a Tehran hospital on September 16. The event triggered protests that quickly spread across Iran and rekindled the people’s desire to overthrow the regime.
