In a calculated act of state terror designed to intimidate a restless nation, the clerical regime executed political prisoners Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani on July 27, 2025. The executions were intended as a grim warning to the growing movement of Iranian youth who gravitate toward the Resistance. But the regime’s henchmen miscalculated. Instead of sowing fear, they reaped a whirlwind of defiance.
Within 24 hours, the silence the regime hoped to impose was shattered by the roar of flames as Iran’s Rebellious Youth demonstrated that the response to brutality is not submission, but fiery wrath.
A nationwide response of fire and fury
The response from the Rebellious Youth was swift, coordinated, and widespread, erupting in 20 separate attacks that targeted the core pillars of the regime’s power. They struck directly at the machinery of oppression, setting fire to IRGC Basij bases in Urmia, Saravan, and Mehrestan, as well as anti-student Basij units in Sanandaj and Zahedan. They also targeted the regime’s networks of plunder, launching incendiary attacks on centers for “corruption and plundering” in Alborz province and Fardis. Across cities from Tehran and Karaj to Kerman and Bushehr, the symbols of tyranny—billboards and banners bearing the images of Khomeini, Khamenei, and terror mastermind Qassem Soleimani—were set ablaze, sending an unmistakable message that the regime’s authority is rejected.
The spirit of resistance cannot be executed
The regime murdered Behrouz Ehsani and Mehdi Hassani for the “crime” of their “membership in the Mojahedin (PMOI)” and their unwavering belief in a free Iran. Yet, the spirit that drove these men could not be extinguished on the gallows. Before his death, Behrouz Ehsani issued a powerful declaration that now echoes in the actions of the youth: “I will not bargain with anyone over my life and am ready to sacrifice my life for the cause of the liberation of the Iranian people.” This unbroken spirit lives on in the Rebellious Youth, who have picked up the torch of resistance and proven that the struggle for freedom is a legacy that cannot be killed.
A failing regime consumed by fear
These murders are not a sign of strength but of profound weakness. They are part of a desperate and brutal campaign by Khamenei’s regime to crush dissent amid rising fear of a public uprising, a campaign that has seen over 1,400 executions under the presidency of Masoud Pezeshkian since July 2024. The regime, mired in crises, lashes out with the gallows because it fears its own demise. But the 20 fiery attacks across the country show that this strategy has failed. Every act of repression only deepens the public’s anger and strengthens its resolve. The defiant actions of Iran’s youth are the true pulse of the nation, signaling that the people will not rest until the criminal leaders of this regime are overthrown and Iran is finally free.
