Iran, August 19, 2021—Over 372,400 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Thursday afternoon local time, August 19. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 100,255, around a fourth of the actual figure.
The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 87,696 in Tehran, 24,830 in Isfahan, 24,735 in Razavi Khorasan, 23,156 in Khuzestan, 14,460 in Mazandaran, 13,813 in East Azerbaijan, 13,430 in Lorestan, 13,198 in West Azerbaijan, 13,072 in Fars, 12,435 in Gilan, 11,060 in Sistan & Baluchistan, 10,888 in Alborz, 10,640 in Qom, 9498 in Kerman, 7468 in Hamedan, 7293 in Markazi (Central), 6488 in Yazd, 6440 in Hormozgan, 5987 in Kurdistan, 5655 in Semnan, 4555 in Ardabil, 4289 in Bushehr, 3840 in Zanjan, 3411 in South Khorasan, 2955 in Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari, and 2804 in Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.
The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Thursday as 564 deaths and 31,266 new cases. Furthermore, 7538 patients are in ICUs (new pandemic record) and 4603 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“2072 people, who were hospitalized at least two weeks after receiving their second vaccine dose, have died,” said the caretaker of Iran’s Statistics Management Center in a report to Health Minister Saeed Namaki, according to a Thursday published by the state-run Khabar Online website.
“The trend of new cases is escalating across the country. In Tehran a number of large and crowded hospitals have the highest number of coronavirus patients, including the Khomeini, Masih Daneshvari, Sina, Loghman, and Hazrat-e Rasoul hospitals,” said the head of the capital’s Khomeini Hospital on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
“There are no beds available for coronavirus patients. The pressure on medical centers and staff is extremely high in [West Azerbaijan] province. The numbers of coronavirus patients hospitalized in ICUs and those under ventilators are rising exponentially,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.
“The number of people seeking initial medical care for Covid-19 symptoms is unprecedented since the beginning of the pandemic. Left with no choice, staff have placed beds for coronavirus patients in hospital corridors. The Poledokhtar Hospital has no capacity to accept coronavirus patients. All the hospital branches, aside from three, are providing medical care to coronavirus patients,” said the head of the Poledokhtar Health Network on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The spread coronavirus in [East Azerbaijan] province is escalating with each passing day. The number of people hospitalized has doubled in comparison to two weeks ago,” said the governor of East Azerbaijan province on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.
“Each day 9000 people with coronavirus symptoms seek medical care in a hospital. Hospitals have reached their capacity limits. The main mosque in the city of Khorramshahr, which was used as a shelter during the [1980s Iran-Iraq] war, has now been equipped with beds and medical equipment. Recently vaccination centers have been temporarily closed due to the lack of vaccine doses,” according to a Thursday report wired by the semi-official ILNA news agency.
“During the past 24 hours 551 new patients were hospitalized while 350 were released. 3466 patients are hospitalized across [Isfahan] province, of which 433 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 45 people have lost their lives due to Covid-19,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency.
“5271 people who have contracted coronavirus are hospitalized, of which 438 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 30 people have lost their lives,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University in Fars province.

“Currently there are 1895 patients hospitalized here. This indicates a 60 percent rise in comparison to last November,” said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi while visiting Kerman province on Thursday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.
“Coinciding with the Ashura ceremonies of Muharram, all coronavirus vaccination centers were closed today in [Hormozgan] province. During the past 24 hours another 18 people lost their lives to coronavirus in Hormozgan,” said the dean of Hormozgan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
“The number of patients hospitalized stands at 844, of which 98 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 17 coronavirus patients have lost their lives,” said the dean of Ardabil Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the IRGC-linked Fars news agency.
