The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers on Wednesday as 469 new deaths and 13,843 new cases in the past 24 hours, along with 5832 patients being in ICUs. For the second straight day the latter two stats are the highest such numbers during this pandemic. Furthermore, 2370 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

Minoo Mohraz, a member of the National Covid-19 Task Force, weighed in on the Health Ministry’s use of “effective traditional medicine” in curing Covid-19. “Here they have made people used to home-made medicines and unfortunately this is dangerous. The reason is we do not know what the herbal substance is they are using in their traditional medicine. Those who have launched this process have veered traditional medicine in the wrong direction,” she said on Tuesday. “This traditional medicine that is taught in medicine schools by professionals must be separated from home-made practices. We do not accept these makeshift medical practices. Furthermore, Iran’s experts should do more research on the impact of their medicines and trek forward with the correct methodology,” Mohraz continued, according to the state-run Khabar Fouri website.

“From Saturday this week we have not seen any significant changes in the number of people being hospitalized or Covid-19 deaths,” said Alireza Zali, head of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force. “People think that with the limitations imposed the death count will change very quickly while it is not so. Tehran’s critical and red status remains intact,” he continued on Wednesday, according to the state-run IRNA news agency.

“In the eight wave polls conducted by the Tehran Municipality shows people’s concerns over contracting Covid-19 has reached its peak since the beginning of this pandemic. Covid-19 and economic dilemmas have rendered exceedingly difficult conditions for the people,” said a Tehran Municipality deputy on Tuesday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

According to the official IRNA news agency, the spokesperson for the health ministry in Fars province said on Tuesday, “The stats chart for daily cases in Fars province still shows a growing trend, and we’ve reached the highest number of cases since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. Last week, the number of Covid-19 death per 1 million people reached 50, which is higher than the national average.”

The semi-official ISNA news agency quoted the deputy governor of Alborz province as saying on Wednesday, “Since the beginning of the epidemy, more than 2,200 people in Alborz have lost their lives. More than a thousand of these deaths happened after October.”

The caretaker of Alborz Medical Sciences University confirmed 20 new coronavirus deaths on Wednesday, according to Mehr News Agency, an outlet affiliated with the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

Following the resignation of the deputy health minister, Hossein Ali Shahriari, the head of the Majlis (parliament) health committee said, “In the current conditions, the people face many economic problems and the coronavirus adds to their problems. Therefore, we shouldn’t cause more turmoil by raising some issues. Inconsistency will not serve the country and in such circumstances, enemies will take advantage.” (Source: IRNA, November 25)
