Iran, Ghorveh, March 16, 2019 – In the past two days, the number of people poisoned in the city of Ghorveh in eastern Kurdistan, reached 600, according to local papers.
After examining the patients, doctors at the Ghorveh Hospital confirmed that all have been poisoned from consumption of frozen meat.

Forty years since the mullahs stole the anti-monarchy revolution and imposed their will upon the people, Iranians are struggling to afford their most basic needs.
Inflation has skyrocketed. The people’s purchasing power has dwindled drastically and the poor have become poorer while workers are laid off as factories go bankrupt. Workers who are still employed are not paid the meager wages they earn. Millions of people live under the poverty line, and unrest in the country is growing every day.
These and the current meat crisis are plaguing Iran, a country that has some of the world’s largest proven deposits of oil and natural gas.
State media often report that the regime is exporting red meat to its neighbors while importing frozen meat which is cheaper. Ironically, frozen food was once banned by Khomeini himself, the founder of the regime.
And, even this frozen meat is often expired and dangerous to health.
Though the regime tries to blame everything on sanctions, a former Minister of Commerce recently said that the sanctions had nothing to do with rising meat prices.
“The sanctions do not include meat exports so no one can use this as an excuse for the scarcity of meat in the market,” Yahya Ale Eshaq said on February 5.
