On Saturday, December 12, a group of bus drivers of a private company in Tehran gathered in front of the governorate of the Iranian capital protesting injustice and the dismissal of drivers after 14 years.

“We have nothing to lose. If we do not get results today, we will protest tomorrow in front of the Judiciary, the Jami Police Station, Vali Asr Street, and the next day in front of the Ministry of Interior,” said one of the protesting drivers

On Thursday, December 10, a group of locals in the city of Kermanshah, west of Iran, gathered in front of the Food and Drug Organization, protesting the lack of medicine for hospitalized patients affected by the Covid-19.

On Thursday, a group of locals living in the city of Angut, Ardabil province, northwest Iran, gathered, protesting municipality officials ignoring their problems and demands.

“Mr. Governer! Mr. Mayor! If you are not able to manage, close this municipality and resign from your position. How long do we have to deal with these problems? Can your municipality do anything at all?” said one of the protesters.

On Thursday, December 10, for the second consecutive day, workers of the Ramin power plant in the city of Ahwaz, southeast Iran, went on strike protesting their delayed paychecks. These workers are also protesting lack of welfare benefits, insurance problems, and officials’ refusal to pay their loans.

The protesters said that the Ministry of Energy, their employer, was managing its relationship with the production sector in a way that is detrimental to the workers.

In 2018, for example, manufacturing companies eliminated workers' housing and job benefits due to reduced budgets to increase coupon.
