“Due to the coronavirus spread and the extensive use of corton, at least 500 people have contracted black fungus,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) on Wednesday, according to the state-run Arman-e Melli newspaper.

“We in Sina Hospital have dire patients and yet due to the limited number of ICUs we cannot provide adequate medical care for them. Some of our patients are in other branches receiving necessary medical care outside of our ICUs,” said the head of Tehran’s Sina Hospital on Thursday. “Our main issue is the shortage of ICU nurses. None of the coronavirus patients who have died in our hospital had received two vaccine doses, meaning we had no patient lose their life who had received two vaccine doses and at least two weeks had surpassed from their second vaccine shot,” this official added, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“Covid-19 continues to spread with immense speed in Lorestan province… The numbers are changing by the minute. During the past two weeks alone 16,000 new patients have been diagnosed and 162 have lost their lives. In Lorestan people have gone from searching for empty hospital beds to searching for empty graves,” according to a Wednesday report wired by the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

“132 of the 155 coronavirus patients we received in the past 24 hours were eventually hospitalized. Currently we have 847 people hospitalized, of which 296 are in dire conditions. During the past 24 hours we have lost 26 coronavirus patients,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency.

“[West Azerbaijan] province is at the climax of the fifth wave. All the cities in this province are registered as red zones and the spread has not declined. We have an average of 4000 people seeking medical care in different facilities and more than 2300 people are hospitalized as we speak, of which more than 300 are in ICUs,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours we have lost 29 coronavirus patients. Currently there are 1214 people hospitalized,” said the dean of Alborz Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The death toll continues to be high. 651 people are hospitalized across [Hormozgan] province, of which 112 patients are in ICUs, and 9000 patients are quarantined in their homes,” according to a Thursday statement released by the Hormozgan Medical Sciences University.

“Currently there are 3256 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Fars province, of which 331 are in ICUs,” according to a Thursday statement released by the Fars Medical Sciences University.
