“Most of the patients who enter the ICU branch were not vaccinated. Around 70 percent of the society needs to be vaccinated in order to realize adequate safety to prevent the spread of this virus,” said the deputy dean of Iran Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

Khuzestan province is in poor conditions due to coronavirus, said the Khuzestan governor on Friday. “An average of 60 people die of Covid-19 each day in this province. In total we have had over 10,000 deaths in Khuzestan, indicating that circumstances are dire,” the governor added.

“Our main dilemma is the shortage of manpower, especially nurses. The current number of medical professionals cannot cope with the high number of patients,” said the dean of Abadan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“During the past 24 hours 40 people have lost their lives. The number of new coronavirus cases has increased. Currently we have 67 people under ventilators and 322 in ICUs,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the IRGC Quds Force-linked Tasnim news agency.

“We currently have 1896 coronavirus patients hospitalized. During the past 24 hours 361 new coronavirus patients were hospitalized across the province. This is a new record and indicates the critical status quo. In recent weeks the number of patients seeking medical care has always been on the rise,” said deputy dean of Tabriz Medical Sciences University on Friday regarding East Azerbaijan province, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

The spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University said on Friday that 3482 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in medical centers under the umbrella of this university. “Of these coronavirus patients, 514 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 51 coronavirus patients have lost their lives,” this official added, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“921 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Qom, of which 288 are in dire conditions. During the past 24 hours 25 coronavirus patients have lost their lives,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 115 new coronavirus patients have been hospitalized and 18 lost their lives. 120 coronavirus patients are ICUs,” said the dean of Ardabil Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“There are 4079 coronavirus patients hospitalized, of which 379 are in ICUs,” said the deputy dean of Shiraz Medical Sciences University in Fars province on Friday. “Considering the fact that our vaccine stock has depleted, vaccination against coronavirus has been temporarily halted,” this official added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
