While coronavirus continues to take more victims each day across Iran and there is no effective measure being adopted by the regime to contain this virus, regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei opposed both importing credible vaccines and providing financial support to hardworking Iranians and imposing lockdowns in various cities. All the while, regime officials have refused to deliver the paychecks of Iran’s hardworking medical professionals that are facing harsh conditions as we speak. Khamenei himself is the first and foremost individual responsible for the deaths of 400,000 Iranians, most of which were preventable.

“Eight provinces are facing oxygen shortages. This has resulted in additional pressure on patients and medical professionals. The oxygen shortage has become critical and at times patients’ needs are provided through the help of generous individuals and various entities,” according to a Monday piece published in the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“[Tehran’s Sina] hospital has reached its capacity. We are looking to find some space in the courtyard to provide medical service for the patients. We are asking the people to refrain from crowding and demanding to be hospitalized. We don’t have any more room. All the beds in the ICUs, the branches and even in the emergency section are in use,” said the head of the capital’s Sina Hospital on Monday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The number of coronavirus patients has been increasing from five weeks ago, literally becoming fifteen-fold. In [Khomeini] hospital we have five ICU branches, and another was launched ten days ago. Three of these branches are allocated to coronavirus patients,” said the head of Khomeini Hospital in the city of Ahvaz on Monday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“We have yet to reach the peak of this wave. All the branches of Ganjuyan Hospital, aside from one, have been allocated to coronavirus patients and we can barely manage the status quo,” said the dean of Dezful Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

In Mazandaran province the shortage of oxygen capsules has left the medical staff in critical conditions. “An eight-year-old boy in the hospital ran towards me, grabbed me by the belt and constantly asked me to provide an oxygen mask for his father who was having difficulty breathing. We were facing a shortage in oxygen capsules. I couldn’t provide what he wanted. I cried all night for being so unable to do anything. The next day with my colleagues we came up with some money and bought an oxygen capsule for the hospital,” said the head of a hospital in the central parts of this province, according to a Monday report published in the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“The average number of daily deaths in this past week in comparison to the same period last month has doubled and increased by six-fold in comparison to the month before that. Furthermore, the number of people hospitalized each day in this past week has increased by 160 percent in comparison to the same period last month, and quadrupled in comparison to the month before that,” according to a Monday statement released by the Kermanshah Medical Sciences University.

“We have 4936 hospitalized coronavirus patients, of which 552 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours we have lost 54 patients to Covid-19,” according to a Monday statement released by the Isfahan and Kashan Medical Sciences universities.

“The number of coronavirus patients hospitalized continues to rise and currently stands at 2099. This indicates a 250 percent increase since the beginning of this summer,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Sunday. “This figure is 1500 more than what we had on June 22 and shows the extremely poor conditions of this province. During the past 24 hours we have lost 33 people to Covid-19,” this official added, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“In the previous waves we had 350 people hospitalized at max. During this wave, however, we have 1200 coronavirus patients hospitalized,” said the deputy dean of North Khorasan province on Monday, according to the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“During the past 24 hours we have lost 24 more people to Covid-19. Currently we have 935 people hospitalized, of which 244 are in dire conditions,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“Conditions in Aligudarz are critical. The number of people seeking medical care in our hospitals is concerning and during the past two or three days we have seen an increase in the number of new cases and deaths. The continuation of this trend will be problematic,” said the mayor of Aligudarz in Lorestan province on Monday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
