The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers on Sunday as an unprecedented 459 deaths in the past 24 hours and 5523 in ICUs.

“We have now allocated 6300 beds for Covid-19 patients in ICUs. Furthermore, 2,000 ICU beds and 10,000 general beds will be added before April 2021,” said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi on Saturday, according to state TV.

“We may face even harsher days in the near future as we forecasted a difficult fall season. We have an even harder winter ahead of us and we need to get ready for even more difficult days,” said Health Minister Saied Namaki on Sunday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

During the Saturday Majlis (parliament) session, MP Abdolhossein Ruholamini said, “[Deputy health minister Iraj] Harirchi has said that Covid-19 deaths are officially at 2.2 percent, but the health minister says why are you questioning the official statistics… you must be prosecuted… On social media, the word is that Covid-19 deaths among officials are much lower because they are quickly diagnosed and treated.” (Source: State television, November 7)

In Tehran, Nahid Khodakarami, the head of the Tehran City Council health commission, said, “We are gradually approaching 200 daily deaths in Tehran. Unfortunately, despite repeated requests, [the government] did not approve the two-week lockdown. Instead, the Coronavirus Task Force issued a very weak set of guidelines, and even those aren’t being implemented.” (Source: Hamshahri Daily, November 8)

Payam Tabarsi, the head of the infectious diseases department in Tehran’s Masih Daneshvari hospital, said, “In the third peak, the number of critical patients is much higher than previous waves. Unfortunately, this has resulted in ICU beds always being occupied, and some patients that we previously took to ICU are being held in other departments due to the shortage of ICU beds.” (Source: State television, November 7)

Kourosh Salimi, the head of hospital affairs in Alborz province, said, “We have 900 occupied [hospital] beds. In the first wave, there was around 500 occupied beds. In the second peak, it was 650. Now, there has been a 25-percent increase. We’re concerned that it might further increase. In the past 24 hours, we had to transfer 60 patients to ICU but we had to wait for beds to be freed.” (Source: State Television, November 8)

The spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University said on Saturday that, aside from Kashan, Aran and Bidgol counties, the total number of hospitalized patients in the province has reached 2,088, of which 395 are in ICU. “In the past 24 hours, 39 people have died,” he added, according to Javan daily, a newspaper affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

In East Azarbaijan province, Alireza Monadi, the chair of the education and research commission of the Majlis, said, “This province has a fortieth of the country’s population, but a tenth of Covid-19 deaths are also in this province.” (Source: Fars News Agency, November 8)
