Blacklisting the IRGC is the first step to stop Tehran’s terrorist threat

As he has for the past decades, Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei has resorted to warmongering to cover up his weakness in face of uprisings and the explosive conditions in society. The more the smoke and flames of this warmongering subside, the more the world becomes aware of Khamenei’s destructive role.

The Iranian Resistance has for long emphasized  the necessity of striking the head of the snake in Tehran. Today, it is no secret that warmongering and sponsoring terrorism are essential and vital needs of the mullahs’ regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which are the main instruments of suppression of uprisings domestically and warmongering beyond Iran’s borders. This destructive role has become so evident that downplaying the necessity of designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization is considered a disgrace and political backwardness today.

Of course, the proponents of the appeasement policy towards the regime is concerned are hesitant to take such measures. If was not for the intensity of the crimes and warmongering of the IRGC and the revelations of the Iranian Resistance, they would still be seeking to promote the idea that a part of the IRGC can be a force for good. Meanwhile, the Iranian Resistance has emphasized the necessity to dissolve the IRGC since 1981.

The Iranian Resistance has consistently emphasized the role of the IRGC in suppression, sponsoring terrorism, and the project to develop nuclear bombs through the publication of books and continuous revelations in meetings, seminars, and press conferences. Some notable books in this collection, published in French and English, include ” Terrorist Training Camps in Iran,” ” IRAN: The Rise of the Revolutionary Guards’ Financial Empire,” and “How Iran Fuels Syria War.” These publications vividly portray the role and function of the IRGC in terrorism and warmongering in the region.

It is not without reason that regime’s agents and state-controlled media consistently and on every occasion label the PMOI as the main driving force behind the progress of listing the IRGC. They predicate any diplomatic relationship to putting limits on PMOI’s activities.

Last year, after the European Parliament overwhelmingly voted in favor of listing the IRGC as a terrorist organization, the regime, deeply afraid of the approval of this listing, targeted the Iranian Resistance in its attacks. For example, the state-run television showed images of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s in the European Parliament on January 16, 2022, and said, “But who is the favorite companion of those who signed this statement and with whom are they interacting the most? Maryam Rajavi!”

On January 21, 2022, the state-run Etelaat newspaper wrote, “The request to include the IRGC in the list of terrorist organizations had been repeatedly expressed in the statements of the PMOI leader’s years before this.” Then, referring to Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s call on March 23, 2011, for listing the IRGC, it added, “Maryam Rajavi, in a session at the German Bundestag with the presence of several members of the German Parliament and Western governments, especially the German government, called upon them for comprehensive sanctions [against the regime], especially on oil, and the terrorist designation of the IRGC. She also stressed that sanctions are necessary but not enough. Sanctions must be complemented with a change of policy toward the Iranian Resistance.”

After four decades of continuous revelations and the presentation of hundreds and thousands of documents exposing the crimes and terrorism of the IRGC, which Western governments are well aware of, refraining from listing the IRGC as a terrorist organization is indeed a sign of backwardness.
