Excerpts from Massoud Rajavi's comments about the PMOI/MEK

Massoud Rajavi, the leader of the Iranian opposition: "In those times, when the Shah dictatorship rules, when throats were stricken and the traditional [opposition] leaders had been incapacitated, it was the great Hanif (Mohammad Hanifnejad) and his comrades Saeid [Mohsen] and Asghar [Badizadegan] who rose and broke through the dead end.
The Mojahedin have an extraordinary story. The shah and mullahs’ regime—especially the mullahs—did everything they could to destroy the organization that Hanif had founded.
We have truly come a long way, and the interesting thing is that everyone has seen that for every hour and every centimeter of progress, we’ve paid the price in full and did not achieve it through political trickery. And all along, the enemy has been attacking us not only from the front, but they’ve stabbed us in the back abundantly as well. But regardless, we had to stick to our principles.
This is God’s work, knowing that if Khomeini will rule Iran in the future, he made sure that Hanifnejad preceded him and created a generation of combatants that would fight against Khomeini and his regime."

  • Excerpts from Maryam Rajavi's comments about the PMOI/MEK

Maryam Rajavi, the president of the Iranian Oppostion: "Mojahedin is a movement that follows democratic Islam and is the vanguard of struggle against religious tyranny and extremism. The organization has paid a high price for the freedom of Iran and the Iranian people.
In the founding of the PMOI/MEK, Mohammad Hanifnejad, Saeid Mohsen and Ali Asghar Badizadegan, three great icons of the Iranian people, brought forth new and progressive ideas. The PMOI was founded in rebellion against outdated mindsets and to create a new world.
They set an example of loyalty to principles and they paid the price with their life. So we salute the great founders of the PMOI/MEK, who started a journey to which Iran’s freedom movement owes its existence today.
And we salute Massoud [Rajavi], who has guided this movement through numerous trials, has documented the philosophical and political foundations of this struggle, and has paid a heavy price to educate the generation that is at the forefront of this struggle for freedom. He’s been at the helm of a long and all-out struggle against extremism and tyranny and has defended and propagated the ideals and values of the struggle for freedom. This organization is a bulwark in defense of freedom. This is a struggle that will continue until the overthrow of the religious dictatorship in Iran."

look whose strategic goals in Iraq and throughout the region are best allied with the goals of the US and the rest of Europe. And if you do that you will see that unquestionably the Iranian regime must be gone, they must be displaced, they must be taken out. If you want to be on the side of victory, you must align yourself with the MEK. The mullahs see the alignment of Mrs. Rajavi’s 10-point program with the democratic systems of Europe and the US as an existential treat, which is one reason why they are so fearful of the MEK. Making their fears come true should be the goal of the Obama administration…"
