July 1, 2018 – The Iranian Diaspora’s massive rally yesterday in Paris on Saturday is receiving widespread media coverage from outlets across the globe.
“We are now realistically being able to see an end to the regime in Iran,” [Mayor Rudy] Giuliani said, pointing to recent protests in the country sparked by a currency collapse after Trump pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal.

“When the greatest economic power stops doing business with you then you collapse … and the sanctions will become greater, greater and greater,” he said.

Thousands of people were attending this year’s rally, which aimed to plant the seeds for regime change in Iran.

“The only way to safety in the region is to replace the dictatorship with a democracy and that has to be our goal,” [Former House Speaker Newt] Gingrich told the Free Iran rally.
“Freedom is right around the corner,” he added of the recent protests in Iran.

“The delegates are gathering at a time when every measure of the coming end of the Iranian regime is moving in the right direction — in numbers, effectiveness, attention and even the gravitas of the speakers.

“The demonstrations inside Iran which have grown over the last six months, recently culminating in ‘Death to Khamenei’ chants in Tehran this week, are real. This time, the regime doesn’t have a U.S. administration willing to look the other way as the resistance is crushed,” according to a Washington Times piece.

“Julio Terzi, a former Italian foreign minister, told the Free Iran gathering in Paris – organised by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the country’s opposition in exile – that Europe’s approach did not take account of the regime’s aim of strengthening the power of their feared revolutionary guards (IRGC).
“He said: ‘The policy of appeasement at all costs that European Governments are carrying on is based on false assumptions.’”
