Following the 134th week of the “No to Executions Tuesdays” campaign on August 18, PMOI/MEK Resistance Units carried out a widespread wave of anti-regime activities across Iran carried out activities in support of the campaign, unintimidated by the state machinery of death.

In their activities, the Resistance Units paid tribute to the victims of the regime’s executions. In Kashan, activists laid a flower wreath honoring PMOI martyr Mohammad (Nima) Massoum Shahi, accompanied by the message: “Dear Nima, your memory and name is alive and lights the path to the future.” Nima Massoum Shahi, a 38-year-old technical worker and PMOI member, was brutally executed on April 20, 2026, as the regime sought to eliminate dissidents amid recent uprisings.
Similarly, in Shiraz, Resistance Units displayed placards condemning the recent execution of Shahram Sadeghi. Sadeghi was a brave protester arrested on February 5, 2026, shortly after the peak of the nationwide uprisings, and was hastily hanged on August 16, 2026, in a desperate display of state weakness.

The campaign also focused heavily on demanding an end to the imminent executions of current political prisoners. In Ahvaz, activists held a placard stating, “No to the execution of political prisoner Arghavan Fallahi.” Arghavan Fallahi is a 25-year-old PMOI supporter who was sentenced to death on July 1, 2026, following months of solitary confinement and brutal torture since her arrest on January 25, 2025.
In Sabzevar, a placard demanded an end to the execution of Isa Chari, reading: “No to the execution of political prisoner Isa Chari.” Isa Chari is a 37-year-old laborer and father of two young children who was sentenced to death over his membership in the PMOI.

Additionally, in Izeh and Lahijan, Resistance Units called for the revocation of death sentences for Amir Hassan Akbari and Manouchehr Fallah. Akbari is a 22-year-old accounting student who was arrested on January 19, 2025, and sentenced to death over contact with the PMOI. Meanwhile, Fallah is a 36-year-old political prisoner whose death sentence on charges of PMOI membership was recently upheld by a kangaroo court in early May 2026.
Across the nation, from Tehran to Kermanshah and Karaj, Resistance Units displayed prominent placards with messages including “From Ghezel Hesar across the country, no to executions” and “Political prisoners must be freed.” In Tehran, activists displayed placards urging citizens to take action, stating, “No to executions. Dear compatriots, do not remain silent. Raise your voices,” and “In unison, we chant, ‘No to execution.'”

In Karaj, they demanded that the “death sentences of political prisoners must be cancelled,” while in Kermanshah, they reaffirmed their message of “Peace and freedom. We support the ‘No to Executions Tuesdays’ campaign.”
In Eslamshahr, graffiti was painted on the walls reading, “Execution is a crime, silence is treason,” warning against apathy in the face of state murder. Activists in Khorramabad highlighted the international success and impact of their activism, noting via placards that “Our cries pushed 32 countries [to condemn executions in Iran]. So shout louder: ‘No to executions!'”
Despite the massive political upheaval and changes in the regime’s leadership following the death of Ali Khamenei, the unabated activities of the Resistance Units prove that the regime’s tactic of spreading fear has ultimately failed. As a placard displayed in Tehran powerfully asserted, “Prison and execution do not answer the people’s demands.”
A brave statement held by Resistance Units in Isfahan epitomized the movement’s spirit and the inevitable future of the Iranian regime: “We will not be intimidated by executions. On the contrary, our determination for overthrowing the regime has become more than ever.” Executions, rather than stifling the protests, continue to act as fuel for Iran’s ongoing revolution.
