Iran’s uprising continue as Baloch remain resilient in anti-regime protests

Last update: 8:45 pm CET

Iran’s uprising is witnessing its 176th day on Friday as the brave Balochis once again take to the streets in their relentless anti-regime protests. Baloch people in different cities held demonstrations against the mullahs’ oppression as courageous locals chant slogans condemning all forms of dictatorships in Iran, from Shah’s regime to the mullahs’ rule.

People throughout the country are specifically holding the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responsible for their miseries, while also condemning the oppressive the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and paramilitary Basij units, alongside other security units that are on the ground suppressing the peaceful demonstrators.

On Friday night people in Tehran’s Shahrak-e Bagheri and Narmak districts began chanting anti-regime slogans, including:
“Death to Khamenei! Damned be Khomeini!”
“Death to the dictator!”
“Death to the IRGC!”
“Death to the child-killing regime!”

Early reports on Friday showed security forces deployed in the city of Rask to prevent locals from assembling for anti-regime protests.

Protests in Iran have to this day expanded to at least 282 cities. Over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 are arrested by the regime’s forces, according to sources of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The names of 664 killed protesters have been published by the PMOI/MEK.

In Zahedan, a large crowd gathered after the Friday prayers to hold their weekly anti-regime protests. The protesters chanted slogans against the regime and demanded the release of political prisoner who are lingering in the regime’s dungeons.

The protesters in Zahedan also chanted “Death to the child-killing regime!” condemning the regime for its poison gas attacks against schoolgirls in dozens of cities, causing more than 1,000 children to fall ill.

Protesters continued their rallies despite heavy security presence and underlined their main demand with the slogan, “Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!” At the same time, they stressed their right to self-defense and also expressed their solidarity with the people of other parts of Iran, including Kurdistan, where the regime has also taken extreme repressive measures.

The children of Zahedan expressed their hatred of the regime by setting fire to the photos of mullahs’ regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini and chanting anti-regime slogans. These acts of resistance are taking place despite the regime showing ruthlessness even toward children in recent months, targeting them with poison gas attacks.

Iranian opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi hailed the Balochis in their relentless anti-regime protests and their continuous efforts in condemning and exposing the mullahs’ crimes.

A heartfelt salute to my Baluch compatriots and the fearless warriors of Zahedan! Even amidst the threat of arrests, abductions, executions, and repression, you filled the streets this Friday with your cries of ‘Freedom, Freedom!’ and ‘Death to the child-killing regime!’ Your freedom-loving roar and unwavering determination to overthrow the regime are an inspiration to all. The democratic revolution shall prevail!” the NCRI President-elect emphasized.

Elsewhere in Iran, people gathered in Arak for the funeral of Mohsen Shojaei, one of the protesters who was murdered by regime authorities. Shojaei was arrested during the funeral of Mahsa Mogooi, a protester who was killed during the nationwide anti-regime rallies. Shojaei was brutally tortured and drugged while he was in prison. He entered a state of coma due to the torture and died in a hospital from his wounds.

Twelve bipartisan members of the U.S. House of Representatives announced the majority backing for House Resolution 100   calling for a new approach to Iran policy. The resolution, enjoying the support of 225 House members within the first 50 days of the 118th Congress, is sponsored by key members of numerous committees, including Foreign Affairs, Armed Services, Intelligence, Homeland Security, and Appropriations.

The announcement comes at a time when protests inside Iran are continuing and the mullahs’ regime has escalated its repression. Furthermore, the resolution delivers a logical path for a new U.S. policy on Iran, concurring with escalating concerns over ongoing chemical attacks targeting schools throughout.

Iranian opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi hailed the Members of Congress who have voiced their support for the Iranian people and highlighted the importance of this latest development in the United States standing alongside Iran’s popular uprising.

“The majority support for Resolution 100, is in fact, the decisive response of the U.S. House of Representatives to the Iranian regime and the massive disinformation campaign to hinder your support for the Iranian Resistance and people’s uprising. It shows that Members of Congress will increase their support for the Iranian people as they fight for a democratic, free republic based on separation of religion and state,” the NCRI President-elect explained.

“The Iranian people have shown in the past six months that they reject any form of dictatorship, be it the dictatorship of the Shah or mullahs’ theocracy and are willing to pay the price to achieve freedom,” Madam Rajavi explained.

On Thursday night people in Tehran’s Shahrak-e Bagheri district began chanting anti-regime slogans, including:
“Death to the dictator!”
“Death to the IRGC!”
“Death to Khamenei, the murderer!”

Locals in a metro station of the country’s capital were also seen chanting anti-regime slogans when a metro train was malfunctioning. These are reminders for regime official of how simple daily issues can instantly turn into scenes of anti-regime protests and rallies.

On Wednesday night, people in the Narmak and Sattarkhan districts of Tehran, and the city of Rasht held demonstrations to mark International Women’s Day and chanted various anti-regime slogans, including:
“Death to the dictator!”
“Basij & IRGC, you are our ISIS!”
“This is the year Seyed Ali (Khamenei) is overthrown!”
“With or without the hijab, we’re headed for a revolution!”
“The movement continues!”

In Tehran, regime authorities deployed anti-riot units that began firing shot tear gas and shotgun pellet rounds to disperse the demonstrators.

In the city of Karaj, west of the capital Tehran, locals were heard chanting “Death to the dictator!”

Reports from Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province, western Iran, indicate that local officials ordered a large number of security units into the streets on Wednesday night to prevent any kind of rallies and gatherings marking International Women’s Day.

In Khash of Sistan & Baluchestan Province in southeast Iran, women launched a demonstration on Wednesday and began chanting slogans against the mullahs’ regime, including:
“Political prisoners must be released!”
“Women’s freedom is our right!”
“From Zahedan to Tehran, my life for Iran!”

The protests in Iran began following the death of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a 22-year-old woman from the city of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, who traveled to Tehran with her family, was arrested on Tuesday, September 13, at the entry of Haqqani Highway by the regime’s so-called “Guidance Patrol” and transferred to the “Moral Security” agency.

She was brutally beaten by the morality police and died of her wounds in a Tehran hospital on September 16. The event triggered protests that quickly spread across Iran and rekindled the people’s desire to overthrow the regime.
