Live report | Saturday, January 10, 2026

The nationwide uprising against the religious dictatorship in Iran has entered its fourteenth day on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Following the thirteenth day, which saw the brave people of Iran brave live ammunition and tear gas, the flame of resistance has intensified across the country.

Reports indicate that until now, the uprising has spread to 190 cities. Despite a 48-hour total internet blackout aimed at concealing the regime’s crimes, people in Tehran, Tabriz, Rasht, and Karaj have returned to the streets, chanting for the overthrow of the regime.

Day 14 Roundup: Clashes in Tehran, defiance in Kermanshah, and new list of martyrs

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, the uprising marked the completion of its second week with intensified confrontations in major capitals.
Key highlights from today include:

  • Tehran Defies Crackdown: Protesters returned for protests in several locations across the capital, including Saadat Abad, Ekbatan, Punak, Sattarkhan, and Jannat Aabad.
  • Undeterred in Kermanshah: Residents of Dareh Deraz returned to the streets, chanting “Down with Khamenei,” defying recent brutal crackdowns and live fire by regime forces.
  • Unity in Tabriz: In northwest Iran, protesters in Tabriz clashed with security forces, chanting “Turk and Fars will unite to free the country,” rejecting the regime’s attempts to sow division.
  • Martyrs Identified: The PMOI/MEK released the names of 10 more martyrs killed in Chenaran and Lordegan, bringing the total number of identified martyrs to 54.
  • Resistance Units: In Karaj, members of the Resistance Units openly identified themselves in video footage, leading chants against both the Shah and the Supreme Leader.
  • Internet Blackout: NetBlocks confirmed that Iran has been offline for 48 hours, a tactic to silence the voices of 90 million Iranians.

Tehran and Kermanshah defy repression: “Mullahs must get lost!”

As the night progresses on the fourteenth day of the uprising, the determination of the Iranian people to overthrow the dictatorship remains unshaken. New reports confirm that despite the regime’s heavy-handed tactics, protests have expanded in Tehran and resumed in western Iran.

Tehran: Protests expand to Sattarkhan and Jannat Aabad

In the capital, the protests have spread to more districts as citizens continue to challenge the regime’s authority.

  • Punak: A large anti-regime protest rally was held in Punak, adding to the earlier demonstrations reported in the area.
  • Sattarkhan: Nightly protests have resumed in the Sattarkhan district, a traditional hub of dissent in Tehran.
  • Jannat Aabad: Residents rallied for nightly protests, directly targeting the clerical establishment. Despite the regime’s repressive measures, the crowd chanted, “Mullahs must get lost!”

Kermanshah: People return to the streets despite live fire

In western Iran, the people of Kermanshah have displayed extraordinary courage. In the Dareh Deraz district, residents returned to the streets today, chanting “Down with Khamenei!”

This resurgence of protest is particularly significant given the recent violence in the area. In the past few days, regime forces in Dareh Deraz and other districts of Kermanshah responded to demonstrations with brutality and live ammunition. However, this lethal crackdown has failed to deter the population from returning to the streets to call for regime change.

Protests spread to 190 cities; Clashes in Tehran and Tabriz on Day 14

As the sun set on the fourteenth day of the uprising, the scope of the protests has widened significantly. Despite the heavy presence of security forces and a suffocating internet blackout, the people of Iran have successfully completed two weeks of continuous protests.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, saluted the “young and rebellious forces” who have “spread the uprising to 190 cities and shaken Khamenei’s regime to its core.” She noted that by defending protesters at the cost of their own lives, the youth did not allow the uprising to be silenced.

Tehran: Protests resume in various locations; “We won’t have a country until the mullahs are gone”

In the capital, the atmosphere remains volatile. Videos show protests in multiple locations despite heavy security measures by the regime.

Specific districts witnessed large rallies:

  • Heravi: Large nightly protests resumed despite repressive measures, with people chanting, “We won’t have a country until the mullahs are gone!”
  • Punak & Ashrafi Esfehani: Large crowds rallied at this key intersection, engaging in slogan chanting and marches.
  • Ekbatan: Residents rallied chanting “Down with Khamenei!”
  • Chitgar & Qeytarieh: Large crowds gathered for anti-regime protests on this 14th night.

Tabriz and Rasht: “Turk and Fars will unite”

In Tabriz (northwest Iran), clashes broke out between protesters and security forces. Demonstrators chanted a slogan calling for national unity against the dictatorship: “Turk and Fars will unite to free the country!”

In Rasht (northern Iran), nightly rallies resumed with the core slogan “Down with the dictator!” echoing through the streets.

Resistance Units lead the way in Karaj

In Karaj, the role of organized resistance is becoming increasingly visible. In video footage received from the city, a protester identifies himself as a member of a Resistance Unit before heading to the demonstration. Simultaneously, the slogan “Down with the oppressor, be it the shah or the leader [Khamenei]” was chanted, rejecting all forms of dictatorship.

Kazerun: Security forces fire on shops

In Kazerun (southern Iran), the regime’s brutality targeted the economic sector directly. Reports indicate that security forces wantonly fired at people’s shops and houses, punishing the population for their continued defiance.

PMOI reveals names of 10 more martyrs; Total reaches 54

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has announced the names of 10 additional martyrs of the nationwide uprising. These individuals were killed by direct fire from suppressive forces in Chenaran (Razavi Khorasan) and Lordegan (Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari).

The total number of identified martyrs killed by Khamenei’s forces over the past two weeks has now reached 54.

Digital Blockade Continues

NetBlocks has confirmed that Iran has been offline for 48 hours, with the national internet blackout remaining firmly in place. This “kill-switch” is the regime’s primary tool to hide the extent of its crackdown and the killing of civilians from the international community.
