The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Sunday as 104 deaths and 4340 new cases. Furthermore, 3409 patients are in ICUs and 650 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“We have a number of red zone cities, and some provinces are reporting escalating stats. There are concerns about the impact of reopening schools and universities. We have to receive the resulting intelligence and see when the peak will form,” said Alireza Naji, a member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Sunday, according to the state-run Jame’e24 website.

“The number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Ferdows in the past two weeks has seen a five-fold increase in comparison to the previous two-week period,” said the head of Ferdows Health Network on Sunday in South Khorasan province, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“During the past 24 hours 187 new coronavirus cases have been registered, of which 142 were hospitalized. We currently have 883 patients hospitalized, of which 187 are in ICUs,” according to a joint statement released by the Isfahan and Kashan Medical Sciences universities on Sunday.

“We have to be ready for the sixth wave because the number of cases in younger people have increased. The situation is concerning and the number of cases in the city of Mamasani [Fars province] is rising,” said the caretaker dean of Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the Mehr news agency.

“The spread of coronavirus has increased the number of patients seeking initial medical care. We are among the provinces that are witnessing rising numbers,” said the dean of Kerman Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

“The status quo remains inadequate and despite the decreasing number of new cases, these stats remain high and in the four digits. More importantly, the sixth peak and related concerns regarding the start of this peak remain serious. In such circumstances, we are reopening schools and halls, and holding various ceremonies parallel to reopening stadiums,” according to a piece published on Sunday in the state-run Farhikhtegan daily.
