“40 percent of the country’s coronavirus deaths are buried in [Tehran’s] Beheshte Zahra Cemetery and 12,000 others have been transferred to other locations across the country. The Cemetery’s daily burial capacity in normal circumstances is between 160 to 180 people per day. If we enter critical conditions this capacity can be increased to 240 per day. However, during the coronavirus pandemic at times the capacity has increased by 250 percent. During this period ambulances and preparation halls have been working in three shifts and honestly Beheshte Zahra has gone without one day off,” said the director of Iran’s most renowned cemetery on Tuesday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“Around 3000 college students have received coronavirus vaccines and then we received instructions to stop their vaccination process!” said the director of Torbat-e-Modarres University’s Hygiene Center on Tuesday, according to the state-run Salamat News outlet.

“Considering the high number of people hospitalized in hospitals located in the southwest areas of Khuzestan province and the high humidity, the hospitals’ oxygen devices cannot provide for the patients’ needs and we’re facing a serious shortage in oxygen capsules. The oxygen device in Taleghani Hospital of Abadan and the Vali-Asr Hospital in Khorramshahr is broken down and we need more than 200 oxygen capsules to provide for the patients’ needs,” said the deputy dean of Abadan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The number of people hospitalized remains high in Khuzestan province, and as a result the number of deaths will increase,” said the deputy dean of Ahvaz Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“During the past three days we haven’t had any vaccinations. Today, being Tuesday, due to a shortage in vaccine doses, the first dose will not be provided across [East Azerbaijan] province. Covid-19 in this province is taking the lives of 26 people per day and 350 to 380 new coronavirus patients are hospitalized each day. Currently we have more than 1800 coronavirus patients hospitalized,” according to a statement released on Tuesday by the Tabriz Medical Sciences University.

“During the past 24 hours we have lost another 30 coronavirus patients. There are currently 2081 patients hospitalized,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the Mehr news agency.

“We are witnessing a continuation of status red coronavirus conditions and hospitals across the province reaching their capacity. During the next coming days, we will witness an increase in the number of coronavirus deaths across the province,” according to a statement released by the Ardabil Medical Sciences University on Tuesday.

“The average number of people contracting coronavirus in [Kermanshah] province from July 23 to August 22 increased by 249 percent and the average number of people hospitalized by 136 percent, in comparison to the period from June 22 to July 22. During the past week we witnessed a 26 percent rise in the number of cases and 57 percent rise in the number of people hospitalized, in comparison to the same period last month,” said the dean of Kermanshah Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Yesterday, coronavirus in Kurdistan set yet a new record. The number of patients contracting the virus on a daily basis surpassed the 500 mark while the previous record was over 400. Of the 900 beds in various medical centers allocated to hospitalized coronavirus patients, to this day 850 are in use. Staff have place coronavirus beds even in the hospitals’ hallways,” according to a Tuesday report wired by the regime's official IRNA news agency.
