“More than three million vaccine doses have been imported into the country. Nearly 1.4 million doses have been given to different individuals. Unfortunately, a number of vaccine doses have exited the official distribution cycle and are being sold at enormous prices on the black market,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) on Monday. “Each AstraZeneca vaccine is sold at 250 million rials (around $1,125) on the black market. Unfortunately, in some areas we are seeing people’s names being inserted into various lists of high-risk individuals in medical centers and hospitals,” this MP added, according to the state-run Eghtesad News outlet.
105,000 doses of the vaccine are being injected every day, said Eshagh Jahanpour, director of the Health Ministry’s Public Relations Office on Monday, according to the state-run Entekhab daily. If this trend continues it will take three years for 60 percent of the country’s population to receive two vaccine doses.
“1442 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in [East Azerbaijan] province, of which 20 percent are in dire conditions,” said the deputy dean of Tabriz Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“The percentage of positive PCR tests indicate that the virus is still circulating among the population at a high rate, meaning the threat of returning a higher level of being engaged with this virus remains high. Vaccination may take as long as one year,” said the dean of Zanjan Medical Sciences University on Monday, according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.
“Sixteen coronavirus patients lost their lives in the past 24 hours. Currently we have 959 such patients hospitalized across Alborz province,” said the dean of Alborz Medical Sciences University on Monday.
