Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), called on the World Health Organization to dispatch supervisory and medical teams to Iran.
“The death toll due to the coronavirus (COVIDー19) is rising all across our country occupied by the mullahs. Once again, I urge WHO to immediately dispatch their supervisory and medical teams to Iran. I urge our selfless physicians, nurses and hospital staff in Iran to not spare any effort and do whatever in their power to help our helpless people.
“The clerical regime must return the medical and health care resources and equipment it has monopolized for its own suppressive forces, to the physicians, hospitals and the people of #Iran who are their true owners. The deceptive measures adopted by the mullahs and the IRGC have only one aim: Containment and suppression to confront the public’s fury and protests. But this is a futile effort vis-à-vis the people of Iran and our rebellious youth,” Madam Rajavi said.

Instead of providing adequate information to the public on how to take safety measures, Keyhan daily, known as the mouthpiece of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, complains of the revelations made by the MEK about the mullahs’ cloaking policy of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. “The MEK take control of social media and publish whatever they wish and can to place their impact on public opinion,” one piece reads in part.
“We are still suffering from lack of safety measures and efforts to keep a lid on the truth. Ministers and their deputies are still uninformed about the issue, and their measures and remarks are political in nature,” according to the regime’s Iran daily, known as the government’s main newspaper.
Reports from the Tabriz Medical Science University indicates three of the 15 coronavirus positive patients have died in East Azerbaijan Province of northwest Iran.
Four individuals have died in Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran, while 19 have tested COVID-19 positive, according to the Ahvaz Medical Science University.
“Considering the fact that many cases cannot be identified, the number of coronavirus deaths and individuals infected are far higher than what is being announced and people should be taking this issue very seriously,” said Ahmad Hemmati, a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament).
