“More than 60,000 people have sought initial medical care for coronavirus symptoms at different centers and a daily average of nearly 4,000 coronavirus patients are receiving medical care across the country,” said Deputy Health Minister Saeed Karimi on Saturday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“In the past week, a significant increase has been witnessed in the number of people hospitalized and reported dead due to coronavirus in Tehran and 25 other provinces. Based on the data provided by the Health Ministry the number of red zones cities has increased from 120 to 247 and there are no longer any blue zone cities across the map,” according to a Saturday report wired by the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 7,000 coronavirus patients have sought medical care in various centers. We currently have 700 patients hospitalized, of which 200 are in ICUs,” said the caretaker dean of Ahvaz Medical Sciences University regarding Khuzestan province on Saturday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

There are 14 red zone cities and eight orange zone cities, along with no yellow or blue zone cities in Isfahan province, according to a report released Saturday by the Isfahan Medical Sciences University. During the past 24 hours, 943 cities have contracted Covid-19 across the province (aside from the city of Kashan & Bidgol), while 1179 people are hospitalized, of which 155 are in ICUs, according to a report wired Saturday by the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

During the past 24 hours, 960 people have sought medical care in Semnan province, according to the governor, adding these stats have increased 13 percent since last week and those being hospitalized upped by 62 percent, according to a report wired Saturday by the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“We are seeing the numbers of new cases and those being hospitalized skyrocketing. During the past two weeks, the numbers of people seeking initial medical care and new cases have increased from five to 50 to 55 percent. We have 3500 to 4000 new cases per day,” according to a report released Saturday by the Razavi Khorasan Medical Sciences University.

Of the 573 coronavirus tests, we have received 309 positive results.

During the past 24 hours eight people have lost their lives,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“The consequences of inaction in the face of omicron have now surfaced and there is no escaping it, especially since right now there are one million people facing the threat of being hospitalized for coronavirus, and our hospitals will not be able to respond adequately to this volume of patients. The death toll can rise further than what we are seeing now. Officials of Tehran’s Beheshte Zahra Cemetery are acknowledging the fact that they can accept up to 200 coronavirus deaths per day, and they don’t have enough personnel for more than this. The number of people being hospitalized has increased by five-fold in comparison to previous days and these stats are rising exponentially as we speak,” according to a piece published by the state-run Mostaghel daily on Saturday.
