The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 131,572, around a fourth of the actual figure.
The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 115,420 in Tehran, 39,850 in Razavi Khorasan, 34,130 in Isfahan, 18,630 in Fars, 9224 in Kermanshah, 8160 in Hormozgan, 6255 in Ardabil, 5779 in Qazvin, 4730 in Zanjan, and 3729 in Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad. The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Thursday as 45 deaths and 1936 new cases. Furthermore, 2713 patients are in ICUs and 318 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“Based on the latest information available the spread of omicron in Isfahan province has to this day resulted in eight positive tests. However, we are forecasting this variant will be the most active in this province in three to four weeks after its initial registration,” according to a statement released by the Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Thursday.
“Omicron has reached Yazd. Today three cases were confirmed, and Yazd has been added to the list of provinces that have the new variant. Most likely many more people have contracted this variant,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
“Three cases of omicron have been identified in [Qom] province. This variant spreads very fast and we cannot forecast the next week,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.
“The number of children with coronavirus symptoms has been increasing in the past two weeks. The (Taleghani) Children’s Hospital and pediatrician offices are seeing a large number of patients from the eastern parts of [Golestan] province seeking initial medical care for coronavirus symptoms,” said the director of the Gonbad Kavous Health and Medical Care Network in Golestan province on Thursday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.
“With 96 patients hospitalized in the past 24 hours, we currently have 574 patients hospitalized, of which 84 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University regarding Fars province.
“We currently have 354 patients hospitalized, of which 96 are in ICUs and 30 are under ventilators,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University.
“The ordinary methods used to identify coronavirus are not effective on omicron. Therefore, not only should we assume that this variant has now spread across the country, but we also need to be suspicious of patients suffering from colds, having coughs, or similar cold symptoms. These symptoms can raise the possibility of having contracted omicron,” according to a Thursday piece published in the state-run Vatan-e Emruz daily.
