Iran coronavirus update: Over 478,300 deaths, alarming stats rising in more provinces

Over 478,300 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Friday afternoon local time, November 19. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 128,734, around a fourth of the actual figure.

The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 112,145 in Tehran, 39,035 in Razavi Khorasan, 32,715 in Isfahan, 29,135 in Khuzestan, 17,823 in West Azerbaijan, 17,725 in Fars, 16,548 in East Azerbaijan, 15,860 in Lorestan, 7970 in Hormozgan, and 7782 in Kurdistan. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Friday as 100 deaths and 5784 new cases. Furthermore, 3431 patients are in ICUs and 893 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“Unfortunately, we are witnessing the number of new daily cases in three digits. The number of new cases per day in [Kurdistan] province has increased significantly, reaching 120, and we are seeing our locals losing their lives. 417 coronavirus patients are hospitalized across our province,” said the dean of Kurdistan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“During the past 24 hours 491 individuals have contracted Covid-19. Of the 811 patients hospitalized, 202 are in ICUs and 39 are under ventilators,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“Today 192 people are hospitalized across Golestan province. This indicates a ten percent increase in comparison to two days ago,” said the dean of Golestan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 441 people in Isfahan province contracted Covid-19. Of the 798 patients hospitalized, 173 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released by the Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Friday.

“With 179 coronavirus patients hospitalized during the past 24 hours, the total number of such patients hospitalized has reached 1407, of which 186 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Friday regarding Fars province.
