Iran: Numerous cities witness MEK network activity

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, November 15, 2019—Members of “Resistance Units,” a network associated to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), alongside members of this organization have been increasing their activities across the country. The cities of Yazd, Ahvaz, Arak, Shahin-Shahr, Gilan, Borujerd, Mashhad, Karaj, Tabriz, Marivan, Isfahan and Shush witnessed these activities. Images and quotes of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), were installed on various parts of these cities, providing hope and motivation on the anti-regime campaign continuing relentlessly against the ruling mullahs.

In Yazd, south-central Iran, a large Massoud Rajavi poster was installed with a line reading, “Down with Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi,” referring to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In Ahvaz, southwest Iran, a large Maryam Rajavi poster was placed on a pedestrian bridge with a line reading, “Democracy, freedom, with Maryam Rajavi.”

In Arak, central Iran, a large Maryam Rajavi poster on a bridge read, “Democracy, freedom, with Maryam Rajavi.”

In Shahin-Shahr, central Iran, resistance units members showed Maryam Rajavi images while chanting, “We can and we must launch a thousand units of resistance.”

In Gilan, northern Iran, resistance units members spread Maryam Rajavi’s message saying, “Freedom is in your hands.”

In Borujerd, western Iran, a Maryam Rajavi image read a similar slogan.

In Mashhad, northeast Iran, resistance units members were seen installing images of NCRI President Maryam Rajavi.

In Karaj, west of Tehran, MEK supporters put up a sign reading a quote from Maryam Rajavi reading, “Freedom and victory is in your hands” and “Rise up to continue the uprising to establish freedom.”

In Marivan, western Iran, resistance units showed a slogan reading, “Down with Khamenei, Hail to Rajavi.”

Resistance units members in Isfahan held up written slogans quoting Maryam Rajavi, “Down with the terrorist mullahs’ regime.” They also took to graffiti writing, “Down with reactionism; Down with dictatorship; Freedom and victory is in your hands.”

In Ahvaz other graffiti slogans read, “Down with Khamenei,” further expressing the Iranian people’s hatred of the mullahs’ regime.

It is worth noting that any support for the PMOI inside Iran is considered punishable by death by the mullahs’ judiciary. Back in June 2014, Gholamreza Khosravi, a MEK supporter, was arrested and executed merely for sending a small financial donation to a satellite TV network affiliated to the MEK. “Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was arrested in 2008 in Rafsanjan, Kerman Province, in connection with his alleged support of the pro-PMOI (People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) TV station Sima-ye Azadi (Voice of Freedom),” according to Amnesty International.
