MEK Resistance Units herald the end of the Iranian regime’s dictatorship

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, January 24, 2020—While celebrating the anniversary of the release of Iranian resistance leader Massoud Rajavi from the prisons of the Shah regime in 1979, Resistance Units, a network of MEK supporters and activists inside Iran, carried on the message of the recent uprisings in Iran and reminded the mullahs ruling Iran that the end of their rule is near.

In Gorgan, northern Iran, Resistance Units installed posters of Massoud Rajavi bearing the slogan, “Mullahs, your end is near.” In Karaj, a Massoud Rajavi banner read, “The rebellious youth have created hell [for the mullahs].”

In several cities, the Resistance Units wrote slogans on walls, celebrating the anniversary of Rajavi’s release from prison and calling for an end to the tyrannical rule of the mullahs. “Down to the rule of the mullahs, hail to Rajavi,” “Be sure that our nation will be victorious,” and “Death to the dictator” were some of the slogans.

In Tehran, Resistance Units installed posters of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Other Resistance Units recorded videos of themselves holding banners with slogans in support of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). “Let the world know that Massoud Rajavi is our leader” several of the banners read.

In Karaj, a poster of Massoud Rajavi bore a message from the resistance leader, reading, “Brave youth, your uprising has pushed the mullahs’ regime toward its overthrow.”

Meanwhile, rebellious youth in different cities torched banners and icons of regime leaders and centers of fundamentalism and repression. In Malak Abad, Mashhad, the entrance of the headquarters of the repressive State Security Forces was blown up and set on fire.

In Tehran’s Janat Abad, the rebellious youth detonated a bomb at the entrance of the headquarters of the IRGC Basij Force. The Basij and the IRGC were the main forces that brutally quelled the nationwide protests that took place in more than 190 cities across Iran in November.

The Resistance Units also reflected the true feelings of the Iranian people toward Qassem Soleimani, the now-dead commander of the regime’s terrorist Quds Force. In the cities of Tehran, Kerman, Shushtar, Lahijan, and Masjed Soleiman, and in Baluchestan province, Resistance Units torched and tore down posters of Soleimani. Following Soleimani’s death, the regime had tried to glorify him by framing him as a national hero and spending huge sums to install banners and posters of him in different locations. But the Resistance Units are showing that the true nature of the regime’s chief terrorist is not lost on the Iranian people.
