On Sunday, August 30, a group of irrigators in the city of Khanmirza in Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province, southwest of Iran, gathered for the second time in front of the city governor's office to protest and seek answers for their pending demands.

It is worth noting that last Thursday these workers ended their protest after the governor promised to address their issues. However, since then no official has taken any action to pay their delayed paychecks. The protesting workers are demanding their salaries that have been delayed for the past ten months, and two moths of insurance premium payments.

Intelligence and security entities of the mullah’s regime have recently contacted and threatened the families of Navid Behboodi and Mehdi Daemi, two young men killed in the November 2019 uprising, saying they “would deal with the families if they conduct interviews with media outlets or took part in any activities against the state.”

It should be noted that on August 30 the two families participated in a symbolic birthday ceremony for Pejman Gholipour, another young man killed by the regime’s forces during the November 2019 uprising. The event was held in Malat, a village in the city of Langaroud in northern Iran, and expressed their condolences to his family. The Gholipour family had also been threatened earlier by the regime’s security agencies. Pejman Gholipour was 18 years old when he was murdered.
