MEK Resistance Units: End Khamenei’s rule in Iran is near

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, July 11, 2020—In recent days the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and its Judiciary have issued prison sentences for the families of the members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) with the aim to create fear in the society and impact the Iranian Resistance’s Free Iran Global Summit in solidarity with the Iranian people’s uprising.

The mullahs’ regime Judiciary is headed by Ebrahim Raisi, known for his pivotal role in the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988, mostly members of the MEK. Raisi is also caretaker of the Astan-e-Quds-e-Razavi charity foundation and a member of the Assembly of Experts.

But despite the growth of the regime’s repression, the Iranian Resistance Units, an internal network of the MEK, has expanded its activities across the country in recent days.

From Wednesday, July 8, to Friday, July 10, the Resistance Units organized activities in the cities of Qom, Tehran, Isfahan, Behbahan, Rasht, Gorgan, Shiraz, Borujerd, Jiroft, Shahr-e Rey, Karaj, Abadan, Rudsar and Shahriar, calling for regime change and in support of the MEK and NCRI’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi.

They bravely took to graffiti in public places, writing messages of Iranian Resistance leaders and slogans against Iranian regime leader Ali Khamenei and regime president Hassan Rouhani.

Their slogans read:

Coronavirus outbreak is the guilt of the Iranian regime & mullahs.”

“Ali Khamenei your end is near”

“Down with Khamenei, hail to freedom”

“Down with Khamenei, Down with the principle of the Supreme Leader’s rule, down with Rouhani”

“We can and we must free Iran”

“Maryam Rajavi is a symbol of bravery and inspiration for Iranian women”

“Dear Maryam, with you Iran will become a paradise”

“Iran Maryam, Maryam Iran”

“Down with Khamenei, hail to Rajavi, dear Maryam we are waiting for you, democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi”

“Democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi”

“Maryam Rajavi echoes the voice of justice and freedom of the Iranian people”

“Maryam Rajavi; we support you for a free and prosperous Iran”

The Resistance Units also commemorated the anniversary of the historic student uprising of Tehran University students on July 9, 1999.

They put pictures and slogans on the cars in the streets that read:

“July 9, 1999, is the anniversary of the student uprising against mullahs’ regime suppression”

Many current top figures of the regime, including president Hassan Rouhani and parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, were directly involved in suppressing the student protesters in July 1999.

During the same days, the young and rebellious generation of Iran torched suppressive centers of the mullahs’ regime in different cities. The targets included a center of spread of fundamentalism in Qom torched by the defiant youths.

An IRGC Basij base in Karaj and a banner of Khamenei in Shahr-e Rey were also torched by the defiant youth. Basij is the most hated suppressive paramilitary force and a subsidiary of the terrorist-designated IRGC that is used to crack down on protests and demonstrations such as the November nationwide uprising.

The continuation of these activities in an atmosphere of repression and repression is hopeful for the people and youth of Iran. Therefore many regime officials have voiced concerns over the growing support for the MEK inside Iran.

The Iranian Resistance Units played a key role and had a major impact on nationwide uprisings of December 2017 and November 2019 that shook the Iranian regime in its entirety.

The mission of the Resistance Units is to establish freedom, democracy and popular sovereignty in Iran, and during the month of June, their activities was spread to more than 85 cities across the country.
