Iran, Julie 1, 2020—While the Iranian regime has indulged itself in a spree of arresting activists and handing out death sentences to brave protesters, the Iranian society is proving that it is more than ever ready for regime change. The nationwide uprisings in December 2017 and November 2019 showed the Iranian people’s readiness and desire to end the mullahs’ ruling dictatorship after 40 years.
More than 1,500 martyrs fallen for freedom during the November 2019 nationwide uprising is proof that the people of Iran are ready to pay any price to realize the dream of a free and a democratic Iran.
The source of momentum in these events are the Iranian Resistance Units, a network of activists and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), who are forming a bond between the files of this revolution with the ranks seen in the central core of this movement.
The PMOI/MEK and the organized Iranian Resistance movement are realizing the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime. The Iranian Resistance Units played a key role and had a major impact on nationwide uprisings of December 2017 and November 2019 that shook the Iranian regime in its entirety. This brave and young generation is an extension of the more than 120,000 MEK members who have sacrificed their lives for freedom in more than five decades and are realizing the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime.
In the powder-keg circumstances of Iran’s society, the activities of the MEK Resistance Units is the most important force behind regime change in Iran.
They continue their activities across the country. From Saturday, June 27, to Tuesday, June 30, the Iranian Resistance Units organized various activities that where louder calls for regime change. They bravely took to graffiti in public places writing messages of the Iranian Resistance Leaders and slogans against the Iranian regime’s leaders Ali Khamenei and Hassan Rouhani in cities such as Tehran, Shahriar, Rasht, Ahvaz, Qom, Omidiyeh, Pakdasht, Astara, Kermanshah, Karaj, Isfahan, Dezful, Behbahan, Hamadan, Nishapur, Tabriz, Shahreza, Gorgan and Khorramabad.
Their slogans read:
“We will take back Iran,”
“We must rise to take back our legitimate rights,”
“Down with the principle of the Supreme Leader’s rule”
“Viva Rajavi, Down with Khamenei,”
“Maryam Rajavi is the symbol of the Iranian Resistance and a free Iran,” and “A free Iran with Maryam Rajavi.”
“Democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi.”
The continuous activities of these selfness men and women is proof that the clerical regime cannot contain a protest movement that has reached new heights and will be sustained by Resistance Units inside Iran.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said during her speech at the international online conference on Saturday June 20, on the 40th anniversary of the start of the Iranian people’s nationwide resistance, Day of Martyrs and Political Prisoners:
“With their protests and strikes, and the activities and operations of Resistance Units, every day, the Iranian people move closer to overthrowing the regime.” Mrs. Rajavi added: “The global community must recognize the right of rebellious youth, Resistance Units and the Iranian people to resist against the religious tyranny.”
On the same days, the rebellious and brave youths of torched two IRGC Basij bases in Ahvaz and Karaj, a Center of spread of fundamentalism in Tehran, and images of terrorist IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in Isfahan and Shahriar. Basij is the most hated suppressive paramilitary force and a subsidiary of the terrorist-designated Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) that is used to crack down on protests and demonstrations such as the November nationwide uprising.
