Iran, August 25, 2019–During a large protest rally held on Friday in Paris, Iranians living France, supporters of the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and French human rights organizations called for the expulsion of Iranian regime Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, according to a report by the London-based Ilaf website. Zarif was visiting Paris on Friday, August 23.
The demonstrators were holding signs reading, “Expel Zarif” and they were chanting, “Expel Zarif, the terrorist.” Another sign read, “Stop providing concessions to the mullahs’ regime.” A third sign read, “Close down the mullahs’ spy nest,” referring to Tehran’s embassy in Paris.
In a significantly important measure, the municipality of the 1st arrondissment of Paris put up a large poster on its building expressing its protest to Zarif’s visit. The poster read, “The mullahs’ in Iran and their minister, Zarif, violate our principles and we don’t welcome them.”
France was the last country Zarif visit during his latest European tour that began on Sunday, August 18, including Finland, Sweden and Norway. Zarif faced very vocal protests and demonstrations by Iranians. As a result, the mullahs’ role in spreading terrorism and creating crises across the region became a major talking point during his visits.
In response to these protests, Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström said her government had not invited Zarif and he visited Stockholm at his own request.
These continuous demonstrations were obviously making Zarif very angry, shown in his blatant remarks in Stockholm. “These guys who are standing outside, ask any of them to come to any Iranian meeting and see if they can survive. They won’t survive a minute of it because you know what? They cannot live in Iraq anymore because the Iraqi people (read the Iranian regime’s proxies) will eat them alive,” he said.
Iranians warned that Zarif’s visits to various European countries encourage the mullahs’ regime, facing the threat of being overthrown, to escalate its domestic crackdown and expand its terrorism across the Middle East.
Iran is first in execution, crackdown and terrorism
The demonstrators also said Zarif represents a regime with the highest number of executions per capita, is the leading state sponsor of terrorism, the main element behind crises and tensions across the region, and the leading supporter of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad who has been butchering the Syrian people for more than eight years.
The role of Zarif and his ministry in justifying the mullahs’ crimes and coordinating/facilitating their terror plots abroad have become crystal clear. It is worth noting that in 2018 alone, the Iranian regime’s terrorists, including their ambassador in a European country, and four other agents alongside a diplomat, were arrested for numerous terrorists conspiracies, bomb plot targeting a the 2018 Free Iran rally in Paris. Hundreds of French and international dignitaries were taking part in that massive gathering. These arrested individuals are currently behind bars awaiting their day in court.
