“If we cannot break the Covid-19 chain reaction, in the coming months we will be facing serious issues. A very harsh winter is already forecasted as we enter the month of December,” said the Alborz province Labor Council chief on Friday. “Currently the hospital medical staff are severely fatigued. Even though we suggested 3000 nurses be hired and new recruits be added, I believe even this will not be enough. Hospitals are filled with coronavirus patients and it has been a few weeks since the daily death toll has not dropped below the 450 mark,” the official added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

1,700 new Covid-19 cases have been identified in Isfahan province, according to the local Medical Sciences University. During this period 43 patients lost their lives and 402 are currently having extreme difficulties breathing with their fate hanging in the balance. The Kashan Medical Sciences University reported 74 patients hospitalized for coronavirus and seven losing their lives in the past 24 hours, according to a state TV report aired on Thursday.

“1873 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in [Fars] province, which is a new record. 300 patients are in ICUs and last night 36 people died of Covid-19. The total number of people who have died of this virus in our province has reached 1846,” said the public relations manager of Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Thursday in a state TV interview.

“The number of people hospitalized for Covid-19 has reached 1652 in West Azerbaijan province, of which 301 are in ICUs and 89 are under ventilators. The total number of people who  have died of coronavirus in this province has reached 2286 and the increasing trend in this regard is very dangerous,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“More than 500 new Covid-19 cases are identified each day in [East Azerbaijan] province. The average number of daily deaths is over 20 per day,” said deputy dean of East Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“The city of Torbat-e Jam is now considered a black zone. 360 of our medical personnel have contracted the virus since the beginning of this illness,” according to a statement released by South Khorasan Medical Sciences University on Friday, according to ISNA.

In Kerman province the spokesperson of the local Medical Sciences University reported 41 Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, adding the total has reached 1482 in this province, according to a Friday report wired by Mehr.
