Iran, May 22, 2020—The Iranian regime’s destructive policies during the coronavirus pandemic has left Iran’s already ailing economy in an even worse situation, further affecting all segments of the society, especially the impoverished classes.
As Iranian officials have confessed on several occasions, the regime’s policies have forced the people between a rock and a hard place, leaving them with the choice to die of coronavirus or of hunger. Under the current circumstances, despite the threat of the spread of the highly contagious COVID-19 disease, during the week, people of different communities have been constantly protesting the regime’s economic policies.

Protests by municipality workers in Shahin Shahr
On Thursday, a group of municipality workers in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, held their protest rally for the second consecutive day. The demonstrators, who had gathered in front of the municipality, protested a change in the contractor who is managing their work and their low wages.
