Under the intensity of the Gaza tragedies, people around the world every day that the office of Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei is the epicenter of terrorism and warmongering in the world.
This is the same regime that wrapped tens of thousands of Iranian children and teenagers in blankets and sent them to clear minefields in Iraq under the slogan of “Liberating Jerusalem from Karbala.” This is the regime that formed proxy terrorist groups and assassination teams in the countries of the region to carry out its evil goals. This is the same regime subjected thousands of jailed People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) members to brutal torture. Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, issued the order for the massacre of the PMOI, executing more than 30,000 political prisoners in a matter of weeks. Now, while the world watches with concern, we are witnessing the destruction of homes and the death of Palestinian children and women.
Alireza Panahian, a clergyman affiliated to Khamenei, while dismissing global efforts to confront warmongering, believes that the figure of over 10,000 victims in Palestine is not significant and there is still room for more.
On November 8, Panahian in a conversation with regime affiliated TV network said, “Right now, Hassan Nasrallah and our Leader are busy with what? My assumption is that they are creating a war of attrition to burn the roots and destroy western civilization in this region in a war of attrition.”
The audacity reached such an extent that the television host, astonished, exclaimed, “It has reached 10,596 people!… What would be the cost if these 10,000 became 30,000, 40,000, or 50,000?”
Deception, warmongering, and profiting from the blood of innocent Palestinian youth are so repugnant and disgraceful that Sheikh Subhi Tufayli, the former Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, strongly attacked Khamenei and said, “Why do you want to trade with the blood of our people in Gaza? May God curse you. Know that Khamenei and all the religious authorities are liars, corrupt, and servants of the enemies. May God’s curse be upon all of them. Stand against them, raise your voice.” He then addressed Khamenei directly, saying, “Khamenei, you are an enemy of God and the Prophet of God. You are the killer of Muslim children. ”
On another note, the reality that Sheikh Subhi Tufayli and many Arab and Muslim figures testify to is that Khamenei’s warmongering stems from his fear of the explosive state of the society and the looming shadow of another nationwide uprising. Warmongering is one of the strategies Khamenei uses to prevent unrest and protests inside Iran. In fact, Tufayli also referred to this reality at the end of his remarks and said, “Now, I say to you, Khamenei, eventually the entire nation will rise up and shout, ‘Get away from us, you traitor! Get away, you who have sold us all to the enemies of God on earth and to all the devils.’”
