On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Iran’s rebellious youth targeted 23 centers and symbols of the mullahs’ regime. These actions marked the second anniversary of the uprising and the “Bloody Friday of Zahedan” on September 30, 2022, where the regime’s forces opened fire on the peaceful protests of Baluch compatriots. The people had gathered after Friday prayers in protest against the rape of a 15-year-old Baloch girl by a local police commander. They held a demonstration in front of Zahedan’s 16th precinct, demanding the arrest and trial of the perpetrators.
However, instead of listening to the people’s protests, the regime’s security forces attacked them with unprecedented brutality. The direct shooting at defenseless civilians and worshippers led to over a hundred casualties, both dead and wounded.
In the activities that marked the second anniversary of the Bloody Friday of Zahedan, the rebellious youth targeted the headquarters and symbols of the corrupt clerical regime in Zahedan, Iranshahr, Bam, Kerman, Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Urmia, Yazd, Khorramabad, Marand, Sabzevar, Rezvanshahr, and Khodabandeh in Zanjan.
Some of these activities include:
– Explosion at the regime’s provincial propaganda department and the plundering district 2 municipality in Zahedan
– Explosion at a center of fundamentalism and propaganda in Iranshahr
– Explosion at a Basij base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Kerman
– Explosion at a headquarters of the corrupt Khomeini Foundation in Kermanshah
– Explosion at a regime building in Bam
– Explosion at a center of fundamentalism in Tehran
On Friday, September 27, 2024, the brave youth of Zahedan reiterated their commitment to the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Bloody Friday, shouting “By the blood of our comrades, we stand till the end.” They displayed their determination to resist until the fall of the religious dictatorship by raising banners and posters commemorating the Bloody Friday.
The following slogans were prominent on many of these banners and posters:
– “From Zahedan to Tehran, my life for Iran”
– “The message of the Bloody Friday martyrs: Never surrender”
– “The answer to the Bloody Friday massacre: Uprising until the regime’s overthrow”
– “The blood of brave Baluch compatriots is alive across Iran”
– “Iran is proud of hundreds of Baluch martyrs and wounded”
– “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Supreme Leader”
On the second anniversary of the "Bloody Friday" of Zahedan, the people of Zahedan protested with slogans such as "We swear by the blood of the martyrs, we stand until the end" and "Political prisoners must be freed," demanding justice for the martyrs.

Since the Bloody Friday, the people of Zahedan have held marches and protests every Friday. Amnesty International reported that several children and teenagers were killed by security forces firing into the crowd.
Over the past two years, the regime’s forces have spared no crime in suppressing the Baluch people, from arresting, torturing, and executing Baluch prisoners on baseless charges to targeting impoverished fuel porters and mercilessly destroying the homes and huts of struggling Baluch workers.
The criminal regime, which has deprived Baluch children, women, and men of drinking water for 40 years, used all available resources and equipment from neighboring provinces to massacre the people. According to reports gathered by the Iranian Resistance, following the Bloody Friday, IRGC mercenaries, Basij forces, police, and plainclothes agents from the Ministry of Intelligence deployed various vehicles and equipment across Zahedan, particularly in the streets surrounding the Friday prayer site, and set up checkpoints in at least 70 locations.
On the same day as the heroic uprising of the people of Zahedan on September 30, 2022, Tehran and many other cities, including Ahvaz, Abadan, Dezful, Mashhad, Ardabil, Doroud, Sanandaj, and Saqqez, also held protests.
While the regime thought it could quell the protests through violence, the Bloody Friday of Zahedan had the reverse effect and filled hearts across Iran with rage. It rose the determination for uprising to a hundredfold, and the regime drove another nail into its own coffin. The Bloody Friday of Zahedan united the blood and suffering of our Sunni compatriots in Sistan and Baluchestan with the pain of Iran’s suppressed ethnicities, students, women, workers, and all walks of life. Khamenei and the decaying mullahs’ regime will not survive the massacre and the flood of blood they have unleashed in Zahedan.
