Simay-e Azadi (INTV), the TV network of the Iranian Resistance, held a four-day telethon, drawing support from people across Iran and around the world. The 29th fundraising program began at 4:30 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025, Iranian time, and continued until 10:15 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, lasting a total of 54 hours.
During this fundraiser, 110 telephone lines in various countries, in addition to internet and video communication channels, were operational to connect with compatriots.
Simultaneously, a continuous flow of contributions and updates about the 29th fundraiser took place through various hashtags on the internet and social media platforms. The event raised $7.31 million to support the voice of the Iranian people and their struggle for freedom and democracy.
What transpired during the four days of the telethon as a display of solidarity, an outpouring of emotions, human connections, and selflessness that cannot be easily described in words. At a time when the real voice of the people of Iran is being censored by the regime and currents that have goals other than the interests of the Iranian people, Simay-e Azadi has proven to be the only broadcaster that is funded by the people of Iran and serves only the people of Iran.
We found it fitting to present a few examples of the messages and statements from supporters and refer readers to highlights posted by the English edition of Simay-e Azadi.

A working woman from Karaj, with humility and selflessness, shared her significant donation, saying, “I work 12 hours daily and earn very little. A caller from West Azerbaijan, while donating ten days’ earnings, remarked, “Simay-e Azadi is our voice, our image. It is independent of any country or government and takes orders from no authority. Simay-e Azadi is the true voice of us, the people of Iran.”
An Iranian teenage girl from the United States stated, “You keep the dream of freedom alive and are the beating heart of this movement in Iran, even during its darkest and most challenging moments.”

A woman from inside Iran described Simay-e Azadi as the “light of homes” and explained her reason for making this valuable contribution: “My husband is unemployed, and I have two children. But since Simay-e Azadi is the light of our home, I wanted to donate 80 million rials and, as a Resistance Unit member inside the country, make the voice of the Iranian people heard by the world during these tough and unbearable economic times.”
A caller from Sweden, wishing for the overthrow of the dictatorship and expressing enthusiasm for supporting the fight for freedom, said, “We thank God for granting us the blessing of being able to participate in this telethon. We are indebted to the PMOI for giving us the opportunity to be their companions and allies in this struggle and battle for regime overthrow.”
Here is another example of heartfelt support from a woman in Canada, who said, “I know that the real work is being done by those in the heart of danger, the brave reporters of the Resistance Units inside Iran. These heroes risk their lives with every report they send. My small but heartfelt support is a tribute to all those fighting for a brighter future.”
