Iran, March 11, 2020—The number of coronavirus infections in Iran has soared in the past days and has spread across the country. On Tuesday, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced that the coronavirus death toll in 127 cities of 31 provinces has exceeded 3,000.
A member of the Majles (Regime’s Parliament) of the “National Committee for Coronavirus” said on Monday that "the disease will reach its peak in the next two weeks" and the number of those hospitalized will increase by 10-15% daily”.
The hospitals in the country lack facilities and medical support. According to the statement of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on Monday, “dozens of dedicated physicians and nurses have contracted the virus while treating their patients and lost their lives.”
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), hailed those honorable and committed physicians and nurses and extended her condolences to their families and the Iranian medical community. Mrs. Rajavi said that these dedicated men and women are the source of honor and pride for a nation that has refused to surrender to the mullahs' inhuman regime in the past 40 years and has insisted on its national pride and human values while challenging the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.
Meanwhile, members of the Resistance Units, a network of MEK activists, and the rebellious and defiant youths in Iran continued their activities against the regime to reflect the will and desire of the Iranian people to overthrow the rule of the mullahs and live in freedom.
On Monday, MEK Resistance Units in Karaj and Isfahan installed banners of Mrs. Rajavi with the slogan: “Maryam Rajavi: [IRGC’s] medical and health care resources must be placed at the disposal of the public” and “the skyrocketing number of coronavirus victims is because of the regime’s cover-ups on the outbreak.”
In Karaj, Babolsar and Zahedan defiant youth burned the banner of the IRGC Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in January. The youth were chanting the slogan: “Our response to Khamenei’s coronavirus: We’ll fight fire with fire.”

In Shahriar, Shiraz and Andimeshk members of the MEK Resistance Units wrote slogans on walls that read: “We must get rid of the mullahs in order to get rid of the coronavirus”, “coronavirus outbreak is the guilt of the Iranian regime and mullahs”, “the mullahs pocket our wealth, while we get the coronavirus”, “Coronavirus is the mullahs’ gift to us” and “Viva Rajavi”.
The Tehran, Hamedan, Kashan, Kerman, Arak and Abadan members of the MEK Resistance Units wrote slogans on the wall: “Coronavirus outbreak is the guilt of the Iranian regime and mullahs”, “Khamenei the sinister mullah, you are the real virus”, “Down with coronavirus (Ali Khamenei)”, “Down with the rule of mullahs” “We don’t have masks and sanitizing gel, instead we have the turban (mullahs)!” and “Khamenei and Rouhani, you are our coronavirus”.
They also bravely installed handwritten slogans of the Iranian Resistance leaders Maryam and Massoud Rajavi: “Massoud Rajavi: Don’t be afraid [of the coronavirus] and aim your anger at the regime instead.” “Maryam Rajavi: [IRGC’s] medical and health care resources must be placed at the disposal of the public.”
On Sunday March 8, the rebellious and defiant youth bravely burned the entrance of the Tehran Prosecutor's Office in second district.
The General Prosecutor's Office is a center of the public suppression and hated by the people and is responsible for the execution, imprisonment and arrestation of thousands of Iranians.

The Iranian Resistance Units installed on Saturday, March 9, 2020, a huge banner of the Iranian Resistance leaders Massoud and Maryam Rajavi on a wall in Karaj:
Massoud Rajavi: “The main disaster is the Iranian regime’s response to the coronavirus outbreak. The solution is overthrowing the regime.”

The Iranian Resistance Units carried out comparable activities and wrote slogans of the walls in Mashhad, Karaj, Lahijan, Mahshahr, Behbahan, Asalouyeh, Gorgan, Zahedan and Hamedan. Their slogans reiterated that the regime is responsible for the spread of the coronavirus outbreak and the suffering of the Iranian people.
