Reporting by PMOI/MEK
Iran, December 24, 2020—In recent days, the opposition network inside Iran continued its campaign for regime change by spreading slogans targeting the regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
Despite intensified repressive measures by the mullahs’ regime, the network of the supporters of the main opposition movement the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) organized anti-regime activities across the country calling for the downfall of the clerical regime.
The MEK’s network inside Iran, known as the Iranian Resistance Units, has grown extensively in the last few years. The Resistance Units have played an important role in leading and organizing major protests in 2018 and 2019.
In recent days, in Isfahan, Mashhad, Ahvaz, Neyshabur, and Esfarayen, the Resistance Units installed posters and banners of Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi, echoing slogans such as, “The people of Iran and the Resistance Units will bring an end to the theocratic rule,” and “Rise up to overthrow the regime of the Supreme Leader.”
They also took to graffiti in Tehran, Shiraz, Rasht, Zahedan, Mashhad, Babol, Hamadan, Karaj, Eslamshahr, Qasre Shirin, and Shahroud, writing slogans on the walls against the corrupt mullahs’ establishment.
“IRGC must be disbanded,” “Down with Khamenei, hail to Rajavi,” “Don’t be afraid of the regime’s threats, the answer of the young generation is more determination,” and "down with the principle of the Supreme Leader’s rule,” some slogans read in part.
These activities have added to the rebellious spirit of a society that is already in an explosive state due to the repression and corruption of the ruling regime.
In Khorramabad, the rebellious and defiant youths targeted a branch of the regime’s judiciary in response to a criminal act of destroying the grave of executed wrestling champion and political prisoner Navid Afkari on December 17.

Also, the brave and rebellious young generation set to fire to three Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) Basij bases in Mashhad and Doroud. The Basij are the most hated suppressive paramilitary force inside Iran. Its main role is to preserve the mullahs’ rule through repressive measures against protests and demonstrations. The Basij played a prominent role in quelling the November 2019 protests and are part of the regime’s new plan to increase repressive measures on the anniversary of the uprising.

Meanwhile, in Lorestan province, the brave youths torched one of the headquarters of the Martyrs Foundation, a corrupt institution overseen by Khamenei which plays a major role in plundering the nation’s resources and the people’s wealth. Along with other similar institutions, the Martyrs Foundation plays a prominent role in funding the regime’s nefarious activities, including the spread of Islamic fundamentalism in the Middle East and support for terrorist and extremist groups in the region.
