In the city of Zahedan, southeast Iran, PMOI Resistance Units held their weekly anti-regime activities on Friday, November 29, reiterating their commitment to regime change and the need to establish a democratic republic.
This increase in resistance activities unfolds against a backdrop of growing state repression, characterized by an uptick in executions aimed at stifling dissent. Undeterred by the regime’s attempts to suppress opposition, the Resistance Units have expanded their outreach, conveying a resolute message of defiance and a commitment to continue their struggle until the regime is overthrown.

Central to the resistance’s campaign are a series of slogans that encapsulate their demands and aspirations for a future Iran. Among the messages circulated throughout Zahedan, the Resistance Units have proclaimed, “Iran will become the most beautiful country and a haven of freedom and justice.” This vision contrasts sharply with their critique of the current regime, drawing parallels between the mullahs and the deposed shah, suggesting that “Like the shah, the mullahs’ regime has no other option than killing and repression, but it will only bring itself closer to its overthrow.”
The Resistance Units underscore the link between the societal issues in Iran and the ruling regime, asserting that “The current problems of society are caused by the mullahs’ regime.” With a call to action, they emphasize, “To free the people and the country, we only rely on ourselves,” and “The problems of society will only be solved after we overthrow the mullahs’ regime.” This is a reiteration of the Iranian Resistance’s independence and reliance on the potential within the people to bring about change.
The banners and leaflets also encourage the populace to rise against the regime, declaring, “Rebels must rise and overthrow the tyrannical regime.”

Another focal point of their messaging targets the regime’s security apparatus, stating, “We have the right to resist against the IRGC and the regime’s agents.” This is further echoed in their assertion that “Dictators, the more you arrest and kill, the closer you get to your overthrow,” highlighting a perceived inevitable decline of the regime’s control.
Amidst threats of violent suppression, the Resistance Units have made it clear that they view the regime’s actions as a precursor to its downfall. They assert, “The regime is inching toward its collapse. We will accomplish the democratic revolution ourselves.” A direct message to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei from the resistance reads, “Khamenei should know that we will respond to executions with uprisings.”
As these events continue to develop, the situation in Zahedan remains a vivid illustration of the tensions between the Iranian regime and its opponents, who are steadfast in their quest to envision and realize a new era of freedom and justice in Iran.
