Iran revolution continues in its fourth month with more protests

Latest update: 9:00 pm CET

People in various cities of Iran are continuing their anti-regime revolution with protests in cities in different parts of the country. This includes people in mourning ceremonies, held for those killed by the regime’s security forces, to chant slogans against the mullahs’ regime, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), and the paramilitary Basij that are busy harassing and cracking down on any sign of popular protests.

Protests in Iran have to this day expanded to at least 280 cities. Over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 are arrested by the regime’s forces, according to sources of the Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The names of 601 killed protesters have been published by the PMOI/MEK.

On Monday morning, workers of the Abadan petrochemical site in southwest Iran launched a strike, protesting threatening letters sent to their colleagues who have recently participated in protest gatherings. The complex was shut down at around noon local time as a result of the strike.

In other reports, the students of a school in Saqqez, Mahsa Amini’s hometown, are boycotting their classes in solidarity with the ongoing protests across the country.

With nightfall people in the city of Mahabad have taken to the streets and are continuing their protests against the mullahs’ regime on this 102nd night of the ongoing revolution. In some parts of the restive city locals have been seen beginning to establish roadblocks and taking control of their streets to prevent authorities from dispatching their security forces.

In the city of Izeh locals gathered to mark the 40th day of the murdering of 10-year-old Kian Pirfalak by the regime’s security forces. The mourners began chanting anti-regime slogans, including “Death to Khamenei!” and “Khamenei is a murderer! His rule is illegitimate!”

In a similar ceremony in the city of Sanandaj, locals marking the 40th day of the murder of Aram Habibi by the regime’s security forces began chanting: “Death to Khamenei!”

At night in Tehran locals in the capital’s Jannat Abad district took to the streets to launch their anti-regime rally and begin chanting “Death to the dictator!”

In Saqqez, locals were seen gathering to mark the 40th day of the murder of Danial Pabandi by the mullahs’ security forces also launched an anti-regime rally and began chanting “Death to the dictator!” and “Death to Khamenei!”

In the city of Dashti in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, people gathered to mark the 40th day of Hamed Molaie’s killing by regime security forces. They began chanting andti-regime slogans, including “This is the year Seyed Ali (Khamenei) is overthrown!” and “This is the last message: the entire [regime] is the target!”

Early reports on Sunday morning indicate that merchants and store-owners in the city of Bukan, northwest Iran, are on strike in solidarity with the nationwide uprising against the mullahs’ regime.

In Bukan, a large crowd gathered to commemorate protesters murdered by security forces during the nationwide uprising. The gathering turned into an anti-regime rally, with protesters chanting, “Martyrs don’t die!” and “Death to Khamenei!” Protesters lit fires in the streets and chanted slogans against the regime.

Another protest rally was held near Kamyaran on the 40th day of the murder of Borhan Karami, another protester killed by security forces. Protesters vowed to continue the path of the martyrs of the revolution.

Unfortunately, the Iranian Resistance lost a dear friend with the untimely passing away of Franco Frattini, former foreign minister of Italy. Iranian opposition coalition NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi sent a message of condolences to Mr. Frattini’s family and friends, and the entire Iranian Resistance.

“My condolences on the untimely passing of Franco Frattini, a wise politician and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, to the people of Italy and his family. Deeply aware of the inhumane and terrorist nature of the Iranian regime, he was a sincere supporter of the Iranian people and resistance,” the NCRI President-elect said.

The protests in Iran began following the death of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a 22-year-old woman from the city of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, who traveled to Tehran with her family, was arrested on Tuesday, September 13, at the entry of Haqqani Highway by the regime’s so-called “Guidance Patrol” and transferred to the “Moral Security” agency.

She was brutally beaten by the morality police and died of her wounds in a Tehran hospital on September 16. The event triggered protests that quickly spread across Iran and rekindled the people’s desire to overthrow the regime.
