Reported by PMOI/MEK

Iran, March 31, 2019 – People in cities, towns and villages across all of Iran's 31 provinces are bracing for continued flood warnings, especially on Sunday and Monday. Rains and thunderstorms are especially reported in the country’s western provinces.

Sanandaj in Kurdstan Province, western Iran, is on high alert. Commuting for vehicles in Kurdistan Boulevard and entrances to the Mount Abidar area have been banned and locals are warned away from these regions. All flights in and out of Sanandaj have also been cancelled.

There are similar warnings issued for Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran.

"The Khuzestan Red Crescent lacks adequate aid material to provide for flood-hit areas. There are concerns of the possibility of people losing their lives in floods across this province," said Javad Kazem Nasabalbaji, a member of the regime's Majlis (parliament), further indicating the regime’s negligence and failures.

Residents of the Bamdezh village in Khuzestan Province were seen evacuating their homes, complaining authorities have not provided any safe haven to relocate to.

Intense rains are also being reported in the city of Shush, also in Khuzestan Province.

An old road linking the two cities of Andimeshk and Khorramabad is now blocked due to landslides. A road from Andimeshk to the city of Poledokhtar has been blocked since Saturday afternoon and there is no commuting possible on this road.

Flood warnings of floods are issued for at least six western and southern provinces, including Khuzestan, Lorestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Kermanshah, Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari and Ilam.

After nearly two weeks of devastations, officials of Golestan Province in northeast Iran are finally discussing the scope of destruction that have been caused by their own negligence and corrupt policies.

"Around 3,000 people have lost their jobs due to floods damaging production units and industrial workshops across this province," said the head of the regime's Industry, Mining and Trade Organization.

Flood warnings are also issued for the town of Mahneshan in Zanjan Province, northwest Iran. Emergency evacuation orders have been issued for villages on the banks of rivers in and around the city of Khalkhal, also in northwest Iran.

The number of flood victims in Lorestan Province have reached four after a child recently drowned in Khorramrud River of Khorramabad, the provincial capital. Residents of villages around the city of Dorud have completely evacuated their homes. They are also complaining about officials failing to even provide any instructions on where to find safe haven.

In Gilan Province, northern Iran, locals are reporting the Punel-Khalkhal road has been blocked due to landslides. In Golestan Province, hit hard for the past two weeks due to intense flooding caused by the regime’s negligence, new reports indicate three more roads are blocked due to flooding.

Similar conditions are reported in Semnan Province, east of the capital, Tehran, as locals begin to brace for major rains on Sunday and Monday.

Experience across the country shows the mullahs’ corrupt policies of uncontrolled dam construction, welling, destructive deforestation and literally selling the country’s soil to countries abroad have all led to the flood devastation riddling the entire country.
