Iran, July 3, 2019 – Reports of protests are escalating once again across Iran.

A group of plundered depositors of Ramak Khodro held protest rallies on Tuesday in front of the Ministry of Industry in Tehran, the capital of Iran. They were carrying signs reading: “From plundered depositors in Ramak-Khodro, which assembly? Which production line? Why does the ministry of the industry allow cars to be presold?”

Workers and hosts of Mahtab-Sair-Jam Company, builders of recreational wagons, went on strike on Monday protesting the lack of job security and the authorities' expelling a number of their co-workers. The company has decided it is laying off 57 of its employees. These employees have between 15 to 20 years of background and job experience.

Workers of Iran Appliance Company strike

A group of workers and employees of the Industrial Sponge of Iran, based in the province of Qazvin in northwest Iran, went on strike and held a protest rally once again demanding their unpaid wages and salaries.

According to reports, a number of Industrial Sponge of Iran employees say it has been 10 years since the closure of the company, yet the authorities are not paying the employees their unpaid wages and retirement pensions.

These employees also say that various media outlets have time and again published their claims and job difficulties, yet the authorities are paying no attention to their claims and lend a deaf ear to their grievances.

This company stopped operating back in 2009. However, while the company owed its employees unpaid wages and insurance benefits, it ignored all the outstanding debts it had leaving these employees in limbo status.
