Iran, March 5, 2019 – As teachers throughout Iran continue their third consecutive day of a nationwide strike on Tuesday, cities from across the country are reporting a variety of protests by people from all branches of the Iranian society.
In Mazandaran Province, northern Iran, college students of the Mazandaran Tech University protested low food quality at the self-service cafeteria.

In Tehran, the country’s capital, a group of retirees rallied in the so-called Khomeini Avenue outside the regime’s Guardian Council main office, protesting and demanding their delayed pensions.
Also in Tehran, a group of investors who placed their savings in the Shadi Gold Retailing firm held a rally outside the regime’s Majlis (parliament), protesting not receiving any answers to their demands from the state-backed company.
This gold retailer has been active in the eastern sectors of Tehran for about 19 years, taking people’s gold and providing a 30 percent profit to the owners upon sale. However, more than 4,000 people are now raising fraud complaints. One individual was arrested in September 2018 with billions of rials.

Employees of the regime’s Jihad Keshavarzi (Agriculture) institution held a gathering in Tehran outside the Majlis, protesting poor living conditions and demanding pension raises as promised in recently approved bills.
The protesters said they have been following up on their demands for the past two years, only to see their words fall on deaf ears. These individuals represent over 40,000 employees of this state-run entity who are raising their issues and demands prior to the new Iranian calendar year.

For the third consecutive day, numerous employees of the “Saham-e Edalat” credit firm rallied outside the regime’s so-called “Privatization Organization,” protesting 36-month delays in their paychecks and plundering their money under the pretext of “privatization.”

Privatization in Iran is a new and modern form of plundering. According to official statistics, since 2002, thousands of Iranian factories and companies have been transferred from the public to the private sector The privatized factories and companies in Iran are worth $88.3 billion. However, such factories have been sold at a fraction of what they are really worth.
Mobile phone sellers in the cities of Tabriz, Ahvaz, Isfahan, Mashhad, and Tehran’s Aladdin shopping center held protest rallies on Monday and went on strike, expressing their anger over skyrocketing costs of living conditions and unstable market prices. The protesters are saying they have not been making any profits for a week and are literally unemployed due to the regime’s recent “Registry Plan.”
This is a scheme launched by the mullahs’ regime that demands all new mobile phones sold to customers to be registered under their names. Regime authorities are claiming this new plot aims to prevent the illegal import of mobile phones into the country. However, the Iranian public is highly suspicious of this new plan and worried about the regime launching a massive surveillance program to gather private data from each mobile phone owner and completely violate their privacy.
In the country’s capital, members of the Greater Tehran Bus Syndicate, along with retirees and a group of college students supporting their cause, rallied outside the regime’s Labor Ministry on Monday, protesting very low paychecks, high prices and inflation, all making life very difficult as they desperately attempt to make ends meet.
These protesters were chanting, “Fair pay is our right,” “Poverty is at 70 million rials, our paychecks are at 20 million,” “Inflation, high prices, You must answer Rouhani,” referring to the regime President Hassan Rouhani.
