“The number of patients hospitalized remains high in many cities. Our forecasts indicate the next peak of this illness will be in November,” said Alireza Raisi, spokesperson of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Wednesday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

Homayoun Sameh-yah Najaf Abadi, a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament), attempted to explain why authorities are not indicating the reason of death for those dying of the black fungus illness. “They’re not registering it to not cause any issues for the physician and the hospital. During the extensive coronavirus crisis, the number of patients is very high, conditions are chaotic, and there have been numerous problems and difficulties, and as a result there has been lesser supervision,” he said on Wednesday, according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.

“Iranian Health Minister Bahram Einollahi has claimed that 60 million people, meaning 70 percent of the population, will be vaccinated in two weeks. Whereas according to the Health Ministry’s own announcement, to this day 15,824,520 people have received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine,” according to a piece published Wednesday in the state-run Jomhouri Eslami (Islamic Republic) daily.

“It is quite strange that only the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been approved for children. Currently these vaccines are being used even in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries. However, the health minister says the Pfizer vaccine being imported is not for ordinary people and ordinary people of our society should use Sinopharm and Barekat vaccines,” reads a piece published Wednesday by the state-run Arman daily.

“307 coronavirus patients are in ICUs, indicating the continuing of the inadequate conditions in [West Azerbaijan] province. Currently 1931 people are hospitalized, and 18 people lost their lives in the past 24 hours,” based on a statement released Wednesday by the West Azerbaijan Covid-19 Task Force, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“During the past few days five cases of black fungus have been witnessed in [Lorestan] province that unfortunately all five patients lost their lives,” according to a statement released on Wednesday by the Lorestan Medical Sciences University.

“The coronavirus death toll in Qazvin province increased by 17 percent in comparison to yesterday, and the number of those hospitalized increased by nine percent. Furthermore, 40 dire patients under ventilators are in ICU branches of our hospitals,” said the dean of Qazvin Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the Tasnim news agency.

In Ardabil province the situation has been reported as fragile. Hospitals are on 24/7 high alert and 51 dire coronavirus patients are struggling to survive, according to a Wednesday report wired by the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“During the past 24 hours 531 patients have received Remdesivir injections and temporarily hospitalized, and 202 have been permanently hospitalized. A total of 1140 coronavirus patients are currently hospitalized, of which 215 are in ICUs,” said the spokesperson of Kermanshah Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“During the past 24 hours more than 90 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized. A total of 389 patients are hospitalized, of which 85 are in ICUs,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 307 patients in Isfahan province have been hospitalized. A total of 2027 patients are hospitalized, of which 333 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 33 people have lost their lives to Covid-19,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Wednesday.
