“Those who have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine do not total to even four percent of the country’s population. 100 countries across the globe have better vaccination stats than we do,” said a member of the Tehran Medical Sciences University’s Scientific Committee on Thursday, according to the Javan daily, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“All the efforts we put it in is of no use. Each day we have around 60 people dying of coronavirus in Khuzestan province. 3,000 people in this province have contracted the virus. This figure is a major catastrophe for Khuzestan,” said the governor of this province on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The spread of coronavirus in this province has become critical in the city of Selseleh. We need field hospitals to provide medical care to the patients. Based on the numbers from this city we have the highest number of coronavirus patients across Lorestan province. When we request field hospitals it indicates the situation couldn’t get any worse,” said the caretaker of Selseleh Health Network on Thursday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“3670 patients are hospitalized across Isfahan province. During the past 24 hours 44 patients have lost their lives,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the state-run IMNA news agency. “Hospitals in this province have reached their capacity limits and there are orders to establish field hospitals,” this official added.

“The number of deaths has increased by 250 percent in [Bushehr] province. The number of coronavirus deaths in this province has increased from 130 to 344 when comparing the past four weeks to the previous such period,” said the deputy dean of Bushehr Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Each day we are witnessing new coronavirus records that are quite bitter. The number of daily coronavirus deaths in Kermanshah is in double figures and we currently have 1439 patients hospitalized. This is unprecedented in the past 19 months,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Kermanshah Medical Sciences University.

“The coronavirus continues to spread with extraordinary speed. In the past 24 hours 1594 people have contracted the virus and 30 such patients have lost their lives in West Azerbaijan province,” according to a Thursday report wired by the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“The capacity of hospitals in the city of Doleijan has been doubled. With more hospital beds added, we are in need of medical professionals,” said the governor of Markazi province on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Each day 40 patients are added to the ICUs. Next week we will be facing a shortage in ICU beds,” said the deputy dean of Mashhad Medical Sciences University on Thursday. “To this day 20 patients have contracted the black fungus disease in Mashhad’s Imam Reza and Qaem hospitals,” this official added.

“With 32 patients losing their lives to coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of coronavirus deaths in Fars province is close to the 6000 mark. Currently we have 4987 patients hospitalized, of which 414 are in ICUs due to their poor conditions,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University Public Relations Office.
