The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Sunday as 8751 new cases, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency. This is the highest such stats in the past 108 days.

“As long as the city of Tehran remains an orange zone all of our educational facilities, including schools, universities, and religious centers will remain closed. People need to pay attention now because we have 67 red and orange zone cities, which are home to around 23.5 million people, meaning 30 percent of the country’s population,” said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi on Sunday. “If people lower their sensitivity regarding the health protocols, this can lead to an increase in this virus, especially since we are dealing with the mutated UK strain. This has significantly increased the possibility of another epidemic,” he added, according to state TV.

“During the past 24 hours we have had 2472 patients with Covid-19 symptoms seek medical care in centers under the umbrella of our university. A total of 695 coronavirus patients are hospitalized,” said the spokesperson of the Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“The number of people seeking medical care in Covid-19 centers has increased by 100 percent and the mutated strain is very active in our province,” said the spokesperson of the Hormozgan Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“If the spread of the mutated strain in the city of Izeh and its surrounding villages is not controlled it will lead to a humane catastrophe,” said the head of Izeh Medical Center in Khuzerstan province on Sunday, according to the Mehr news agency.

“Currently the number of patients hospitalized in facilities accepting Covid-19 patients in Fars province stands at 728, of which 114 are in ICUs. The [Fars province] death toll to this day stands at 3368,” said the director of public relations in Shiraz Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the semi-official news agency.

“From March 15 to this day we have witnessed a 50 percent increase in the number of people seeking medical care for coronavirus symptoms in this city,” said the deputy chair of the Chalus Health Network in Mazandaran province on Sunday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“The cities of Qazvin and Takestan are orange zone areas and other cities in this province have fragile conditions,” said the dean of Qazvin Medical Sciences University on Sunday while reporting a 30 percent increase in the number of people seeking medical care.

“It has been months since senior officials have been saying vaccines will be arriving in ‘soon’ yet we have only been able to receive 790,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Thousands of our medical professionals and nurses were among the first priority to receive the vaccine and they have yet to be vaccinated,” according to Sunday piece published in the state-run Arman daily.
