Iran, July 26, 2019 – On July 25, Al-Sharq al-Awsat published a piece on Iran’s piracy and the reasons behind it.
“The Iranian regime is used to export its crises by activating the external crisis in order to cover-up its disabilities. Therefore, it launches terrorist operations in the Islamic countries and interferes in countries such as Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Bahrain,” the report reads in part.
“Iran’s regime, usually hiding behind its proxies, commits piracy and threatens navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important waterways, where free navigation is ensured under international sailing laws. The mullahs’ regime is attempting to play with the world powers in the Strait of Hormuz without realizing the possible consequence and dangers for itself. Although, playing hide and seek during the nuclear negotiations pleased the regime very much, nowadays the regime is incapable of supporting its agents in Syria,” the article continues.
“This rogue regime doesn’t want to appear weak in the eyes of its supporters. This is the reality Iran’s regime attempts to cover. Therefore, its actions and playing with the world powers end in its destruction. The Iranian regime is not yet ashamed of state piracy, seizure and racking the ships,” the reported concluded.
