Iran coronavirus update: Over 487,100 deaths, rate of migrating nurses has tripled

Over 487,100 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Friday afternoon local time, December 10. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 130,524, around a fourth of the actual figure.

The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 114,075 in Tehran, 33,470 in Isfahan, 29,520 in Khuzestan, 18,338 in West Azerbaijan, 18,220 in Fars, 13485 in Sistan & Baluchistan, 13,180 in Qom, 13,967 in Kerman, 9089 in Kermanshah, 8018 in Yazd, and 5429 in Bushehr. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Friday as 79 deaths and 2971 new cases. Furthermore, 3154 patients are in ICUs and 493 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

“The atrocious conditions of the country’s nurses, low wages, being treated poorly, and lack of job security for nurses has led to their migration increasing in comparison to previous years. The stats were far lower in the past and currently the number of nurses migrating has tripled,” said the Director General of the Nursing House on Friday, according to the state-run Salamat News website.

“In Fars province the threat of contracting coronavirus and dying from this illness remains high. During the past 24 hours 105 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized. We currently have 767 patients hospitalized, of which 110 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released on Friday by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University.

“During the past 24 hours 103 coronavirus have been hospitalized. We currently have 505 patients hospitalized, of which 138 are in ICUs and 33 are under ventilators,” according to a Friday report wired by the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“No virus stays behind the country’s borders. The eastern and western borders can be where this virus enters the country,” said the deputy dean of Ahvaz Medical Sciences University on Friday regarding Khuzestan province, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
