Key remarks by General James Conway in inauguration of exhibition “120 Years of Struggle for Freedom”

On July 12, 2019, dignitaries from dozens of countries across the world attended an exhibition in Ashraf 3, Albania, which depicted 120 years of resistance for freedom and democracy in Iran. The exhibition was part of the five-day Free Iran 2019 event at the main headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Following the exhibition, a conference was held, in which several of the visitors delivered speeches, issuing remarks about the struggles of the Iranian people and their resistance movement for freedom in their country.

Following are key remarks by former Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps General James Conway at the Ashraf 3 conference.

General James Conway former Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps:

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to share with you a revelation that I experienced yesterday along with another number of visitors to Ashraf 3. We participated in a policy panel. And afterwards we were invited to dinner with about 100 of the ladies of Ashraf 3. And I, aside from Madame [Maryam] Rajavi, have met a number of ladies but I’ve never heard them speak before… And about six or eight of them shared with us their stories, the tragedy of the loss of loved ones and their subsequent dedication to this organization…

I walked away form that session, ladies and gentlemen, completely blown away by their sense of purpose and their patriotism…

And I am absolutely convinced that with your ladies at your side that the day will come when you make your country free. Thank you very much.
